KONAMI’s most popular soccer title eFootball 2023 has released the version 2.4.0 update in the game. Even though there weren’t many expectations surrounding the update, KONAMI has managed to make the update better, with new legends being added along with an updated Match Pass, Player Rating upgrades, events and more. To the fans’ delight, there are a few new features added to the game, which we will discuss in this article.
eFootball 2023 version 2.4.0 update overview
eFootball 2023 has come up with new features and campaigns running in Season 3. Over a lackluster last update, changes needed to be done, and KONAMI has managed to bring something unique to the table.
Carnival Campaign
Campaigns in KONAMI are a regularity, as they bring in freebies for its players and also the rewards are quite generous. Celebrating Brazil this event, the Carnival Campaign will go live with this update. By completing the Objectives-related Tour Events, players can earn 80,000 GP and 60,000 Exp.
Free Chance Deals are also part of this campaign. Using this Chance Deal, you can sign one of nine players from a Special Player List. Players can try their luck to claim a few of the greatest football icons of Brazil’s history like Ronaldinho, Romario, and Roberto Carlos. These cards will be having their legendary versions.
Time-limited campaign objectives will also be running during the period, in which players can have a maximum of 180,000 GP and 50,000 Exp. Tour Events will also be updated accordingly, yielding good rewards there too.

The event will run in two schedules. The first will be from 16/02/2023 02:00 UTC to 23/02/2023 01:59 UTC.
The seconds begin on 23/02/2023 at 02:00 UTC and will end on 02/03/2023 at 01:59 UTC.

Login rewards are not on daily basis, so whenever players log in that will count as one. The details of the rewards are given below.

New Features and Additions
Players expect new modes and features, and KONAMI has tried their hand at changing a few boring elements and refreshing them with the latest additions via this update.
Previously, Friend Match mode could be played only with the Dream Team menu. But now, the Authentic Teams now have the option of playing a Friend Match. You can use this to play matches against friends using real-life squads, and you can experience club and national squad football.
Filter option in reserves is a huge relief for those who were struggling to find players. Many users have too many names in their rosters which is difficult to sort. With this, you can easily find players on the basis of their Club, Position, and more. This filter has been updated in My Team as well. The Match Pass is updated, which can be accessed in the game.
Updated Player Stats
Since the January transfers needed to be updated, KONAMI has also changed the player stats according to their real-life performance. Booming stars like Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bayern’s Musiala and Barcelona’s Gavi are now five-star players. Along with that, Player photos, graphics and data of each player have been updated.
A few more new updates have been added which include multiple signing options where at one go you can sign up to 10 players at a discount as well. Team Data, Manager Images, Boots, Strips, and Commentary have all been updated.
New Legends added
New Legends are added to the game, with the Big Time Manchester United version of Forlan now available for players. Dennis Law and Kagawa also make their comeback to the game as Epic versions. Ital’s pillars, Cannavaro, Totti, and Pirlo have also been added.
Bug Fixes and Adjustments
As usual, a lot of bug fixes were done and adjustments to the game are plenty. AI gameplay, fouls, dribbling mechanics, and gameplay enhancements are all covered with this update. Especially with fouls, we can now expect fairer foul decisions with regard to the circumstances.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, this update is really amazing in terms of features and player updates. KONAMI has once succeeded in bringing features that are much needed, and the gameplay enhancements are also a very big plus when we consider the overall state the game was in. Legends are part and parcel of the game, and as long as players have coins, these new shiny cards are always there.
We would love to see more unique events in the game. Rewarding coins isn’t very generous as well, it affects the F2P players in the long run. As of now, we shall wait and see what new might be coming next.
