Fortnite has been constantly delivering new collaboration projects with big-name franchises for quite some time now. The new crossovers include the likes of Futurama, Terminator, and so on. The leak about Fortnite collaborating with the Doctor Who franchise was revealed back in April of this year. But since then the actual release date of the crossover has been a question for many fans and last month it was revealed that the date has been pushed back to November. Now further leaks state that the collaboration with Doctor Who has been further delayed in Fortnite.
Doctor Who crossover is getting delayed to December or January 2024 because of the upcoming Lego crossover
At first, it was announced by popular Fortnite data miner iFireMonkey via BarbieharpFN on X that a Doctor Who collaboration would most likely take place between November and December of this year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who which will take place in November.
Now new leaks have sprung up from the same data miner who now states that the collaboration has been further delayed between December of this year and January of next year. The cause for this is being told that because the Lego collaboration with Fortnite is supposed to take place in November, the Doctor Who collaboration has been delayed.
The 60th anniversary Doctor Who skin idea has been scrapped
A skin based on the Fifteenth Doctor who would be playing Doctor Who in the hit show by Ncuti Gatwa was supposed to be released as a part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the character but it seems like that won’t be happening anymore.
The Mini Event Pass would still be happening whenever the crossover takes place which will most likely be during the holiday season of 2023 as this will also be the time when Ncuti will make his debut as Doctor Who on the show.
