Free Fire Dress Glitch: All about the Spiderman, Marshmallow, Batman & more mods

Ever attended Go as you Like parties as a kid?

Almost every popular game out there in the gaming industry has several un-official alterations and changes made into the game, all for the sake of creativity and fun. One of those ‘alterations’ includes ‘Mods’. A quick search on Wikipedia will tell you that A mod (short for “modification”) is an alteration by players or fans of a video game that changes one or more aspects of a video game, such as how it looks or behaves. Mods may range from small changes and tweaks to complete overhauls and can extend the replay value and interest of the game. So, these days, in addition to Console Games, popular mobile games are no exception from getting modded. Garena Free Fire seems to be the latest mobile game that’s being modded to bring further interest into the game and players have been facing a dress glitch in the game due to related issues. For those who don’t know; Free Fire is a Battle Royale mobile game that has a humongous player base in various countries including Brazil, Thailand, Singapore and India among others.

About the Free Fire Dress Glitch

The Free Fire mods are all about playing the game with costumes and emotes that aren’t even available officially in-game for the players to equip and play with. Most of these mods arise from glitches being exploited by certain individuals with the competence to modify game files in a manner that’s overlooked by the Free Fire security wall.

After a little bit of search on YouTube, one can come to realise that these mods can be used to equip certain costumes such as that of Kurumi, Marshmallow, Batman, Spiderman and Naruto etc. Not just that, one can also show-off certain locked emotes. Locked emotes are the ones which can’t be equipped or bought from the store but can be very well watched during the promos of every new Diamond Royale and Incubator. The characters only do those emotes during the promos. Though, with these mods one can show-off any of those locked emotes as per his/her choice amidst an ongoing match.

Garena’s reaction to this glitch

Free Fire officials have not released any statements regarding this matter but many relevant Free Fire social media personalities have discussed this matter extensively. After weighing in on their opinions, it can be assumed that major sentiment regarding this context seems to be that spoken with a tone of concern as Free Fire considers those mods as cheats and hacks. So, these mods might look very tempting and flashy to be used, in the end, these are all straight-up violating the rules and regulations of the game.

It’s one exciting aspect to watch your favourite personalities as playable characters in the game but it’s also a violation of copyright as there’s been no prior notice of Free Fire collaborating with Marshmallow, DC Comics, Marvel or any of the other franchises which the mods seem to be used without any approval from either Free Fire or the mentioned franchises.

It’s just some YouTubers who first introduced these mods into the game to gain traction and financial aid in a wrongful manner, all for the sake of views. Let’s see how Free Fire tackles this situation which seems to be ruining the integrity of the Free Fire community.
