Free Fire India launch postponed by a few weeks

Fans to wait longer!

Fans of the popular Battle Royale title Garena Free Fire will have to wait for a few more weeks as the game’s India release has been postponed. This was confirmed by the developers’ official Free Fire India account and has led to players being disappointed.

Free Fire India will be working on refining gameplay and the game’s localization

It was announced a few days back that Garena Free Fire is gearing up for a relaunch in India on September 5, 2023, under the name Free Fire India. The news was exciting for most of the fans in the country since the game was banned in India along with 11 other games by the Indian Government in 2022 which followed the game’s removal from the App Store

However, even though September 5th has arrived, there isn’t any game launch happening as they have decided to postpone the launch by a few more weeks. This is to ensure they can provide the best possible experience for all Free Fire India fans from the beginning without the players facing any issues playing the title on the launch stage.

These weeks will be dedicated to refining the gameplay and will also be taking the necessary time to fully complete the localization of the Free Fire India experience. They also mention that they are delighted by the overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from their Indian community following the announcement of the Free Fire India launch.

For now, we do not have any idea regarding when the official date has been shifted. Given that it is a time of a few more weeks, we expect things to be before September’s end, else a launch in October is most likely. Let us hope it won’t take long.
