Garena Free Fire, one of the world’s most popular mobile battle royale game whose rivals are PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile, has announced its lineup of esports tournaments for 2020. Garena, which is a game developer and publisher has announced its Free Fire Champions Cup and Free Fire World Series which is major esports tournaments for the year 2020. It has tried to create more chances for its worldwide community of mobile gamers to get associated with it. Free Fire will host 4 international esports tournaments in the year ahead, with $2 million (Rs 14 crore) in total prize money to distribute between the winners. It also stated that the winners of the Free Fire India esports this year will have an opportunity to win Rs 1 crore.
According to the Free Fire Development team, India is an important market for Free Fire. Therefore, it will have its own qualifiers resulting in each of the international esports tournaments.
Indonesia to host the first global tournament of 2020
The first international tournament of the year is the Free Fire Champions Cup 2020. This will be hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 19, 2020. According to Garena, the qualifiers for the Free Fire Champions Cup 2020 have already begun. The top 12 teams from 9 regions will emerge from local and regional qualifiers.

Fans will not have to wait long for the next exciting international tournament after the Free Fire Champions Cup 2020 in April. There will be two additional first-of-its-kind Free Fire global tournaments taking place in June and July. More details will be revealed once it is out from Garena.
