Phase II of the latest Genshin Impact version 2.8 would be starting from August 02, 2022, at 18:00:00 and will be going on till the end of the 2.8 version. The phase II banners of Genshin Impact Summer Fantasia Version 2.8 will be available till August 23, at 14:59:59. In this phase there is going to be just 1 character banner unlike Phase I.
Genshin Impact Version 2.8 Phase II: Character Event Wish Banner
The 5-star character featured in this banner is Frolicking Flames Yoimiya (Pyro). Yoimiya is an event-exclusive character and hence won’t be available once this event is over. This is the first rerun banner of Yoimiya. And the 4-star characters featured in this banner are Yun Jin (Geo), Xinyan (Pyro), and Bennett (Pyro). And all featured characters will have a boosted drop rate.
Test Run trials will be open to test out the character you want to pull
The Test Run trial will be open during this event wish. Travelers can try out the new and returning characters in the fixed team compositions. This can be done by entering the specific domains to fight and getting acquainted with the powers and attributes of various characters. Completing them gives rewards such as Primogems, Hero’s Wits, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Stones among other rewards.
Weapon Event Wish Banner for Genshin Impact Version 2.8 Phase II: Epitome Invocation
The two 5-star weapons featuring the weapon banner are Thundering Pulse (bow) and Summit Shaper(sword). Other event-exclusive weapons are Wine and song(catalyst) and Alley Hunter (bow). And other weapons that are featured in the banner are The Flute (Sword), Sacrificial Greatsword, and Dragon’s Bane (Polearm). All the weapons featured in the banner would have boosted drop rates.
How will the upcoming version 2.8 phase II banners impact the players
Generally, the 4-star characters featured in the character banner are such that they can provide support to the 5* character. But as the 5-star character, in this case, is a Pyro vision holder, having another Pyro character is nice because the Pyro resonance is one of the best resonances in the game. But having 3 Pyro characters in the same banner is not good.
Also, all the 4-star characters in the banner are support characters. But Bennett is the best one in the game. And the other two characters are not so relevant. Another thing is that Yoimiya is not one of the Meta characters in Genshin Impact. So, the suggestion would be: Unless players are trying to get Bennett or are trying to build up pity for the banners in the next versions, players should not wish in the character banner.
The weapon banner in this phase is quite good. Both of the weapons are great. All players have at least 1 bow DPS character. And Thundering Pulse is one of the best Bows for DPS bow characters. Also, all players have either Jean or Qiqi. Though Qiqi isn’t so great. But the Summit Shaper would be great for the 2 characters. So, I would suggest players that they can try to wish in the weapon banner as if they get either of them, it would be a great addition to their characters.
