Genshin Impact version 3.8 Phase 2 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation

This banner features the 5* event-exclusive weapons Everlasting Moonglow (catalyst) and Tulaytullah’s Remembrance (catalyst). Among these, Tulaytullah’s Remembrance is the signature best-in-slot weapon for Wanderer. Everlasting Moonglow is the best-in-slot for a C6R5 DPS build Kokomi, which is beyond the scope of free-to-play players.

Final thoughts

Kokomi initially received a lot of backlash for her inability to CRIT, which made her a poor choice for a DPS role. Over time, players have come to appreciate her for her other roles such as the extremely reliable AOE off-field Hydro application which is very useful for Freeze and Bloom teams. She is one of the best off-field Hydro applicators at the moment, only tied with Yelan and Xingqiu. Unlike the other two, Kokomi can apply Hydro in a wide area and does not rely on normal attacks to trigger it. Therefore she does not directly compete with them in a team slot. In many cases such as Bloom teams, Kokomi is preferred because of her ability to heal better than anyone else.

Wanderer is a rather unique character due to his ability to hover/fly as well as being an Anemo DPS. His only direct competitor is Xiao, who also has a unique plunge attack-focused playstyle. In terms of DMG, both of them are comparable. Not being reliant on using his Burst makes Wanderer easier to play, but just like Xiao, Wanderer also needs a shielder to play comfortably.

Between Kokomi and Wanderer, Kokomi generally has greater pull value due to being a supporting character who can effortlessly fit in many teams. Among the 4* characters Faruzan is the most important since she is the dedicated support for Anemo DPS like Wanderer or Xiao. Rosaria is a great 4* Cryo unit that can fit into Freeze teams. Yanfei is a decent Pyro DPS but suffers from low multipliers due to being a 4*, hence she faces tough competition from her 5* counterparts Hu Tao and Yoimiya.

As for the 5* weapons, Everlasting Moonglow is absolutely not worth pulling for as a free-to-play. A support build Kokomi will never benefit from this weapon. For Wanderer mains, Tulaytullah’s Remembrance definitely worth going for, if you have the spare Primos. It is not a must-pull, but worth pulling.

As for the 4* weapons, it is a mixed bag. Dragon’s Bane is a really great weapon for an EM build Raiden Shogun, it can also be good on Hu Tao and Xiangling. Favonius Warbow is a no-brainer choice for any support character. Other than these two, the rest of the weapons are pretty underwhelming.
