- Hearthside now available globally on Android and iOS platforms.
- The title is a merge-based tile city builder built on the "Hearth".
- The game follows March beta phase with now full mobile release.
Hearthside: A Teeny Tiny Game has now officially launched on Android and iOS, bringing its cozy merge-based city-building experience to mobile. Coming from Short Circuit Studio, the creator of Teeny Tiny Trains and Townsfolk, the game previously opened beta sign-ups back in March this year.
Hearthside also offers an endless mode and strategic board sizes
The core gameplay here is pretty straightforward. You start with a small board and a few tiles, and your job is to place and merge them to grow your settlement. Matching three or more tiles upgrades them into something better, like turning basic pieces into houses or bigger structures.
Since the space is limited, you can’t just place things randomly and hope it works. The game starts slowly with a tiny village, but you’ll have to think a bit before dropping each tile, and as you keep merging, things open up in the “hearth”.
The visuals are honestly one of the nicer parts here in Hearthside. The game uses a soft, slightly hand-painted look, and you see everything from a slight top-down angle. The makers bring in yet another art style, which has been a plus in their earlier games.
You also get modes like endless mode and strategic board sizes, along with leaderboards and achievements, if you want something to chase. But the main focus stays on building and managing your board properly.
If you find the game interesting, you can head to your respective storefronts on Android and iOS, and get Hearthside: A Teeny Tiny Game either from the Google Play Store or App Store.
