The well-known MOBA Mobile Legends: Bang Bang from MOONTON has opted against implementing the additions it had intended to provide in the game and has canceled the Project NEXT update for September 2022. MLBB’s principal designer Skyhook confirmed the discontinuation of the forthcoming update in a Twitter post from the game. Project NEXT was supposed to bring about updated heroes and skins in September.
On the fourth anniversary of the game, in July 2020, Mobile Legends Project Next was unveiled. From that point on, the game added a variety of characters with new splash animations, display animations, and battle effects divided into three phases. The fourth would be the most recent September upgrade. Players won’t get them now if the project is canceled.
The game decided to keep the Emblem system while scrapping the Talent system
Skyhook explained why the game must make this difficult choice. The game focused on the Emblem system for this year’s update. The purported Emblem system’s successor, its intricate architecture, and the abundance of Talent options it offered made it challenging for the developers to refine the Talent system over the course of a year.
In addition, the community feedback was insufficient. It has been observed that the Talent system may significantly detract from the pleasure of playing the game. We decided to cancel the project NEXT upgrade in September in the spirit of putting “player experience first,” according to Skyhook.
It won’t be available in-game because of the Talent system issue. The Emblem system will continue to function as it does now. The game added that it would be working on development to find a solution and keep things simple.
