Mobile Legends: Upcoming skins and events for January 2022

With the month of December coming to an end very soon, the new year is just right around the corner, which is expected to bring along lots of exciting new content to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This includes the January 2022 Starlight Pass, new hero, new skins, new events, and much more content believed to be coming to the game in the month of January 2022. All of these upcoming skins and events for Mobile Legends for the month of January 2022 will be covered in this article, read on to find out more!

It is important to note that the information in this article is mostly based on leaks and datamines released by credible leakers and informants. Official confirmation from Moonton Games nor the Mobile Legends developer team regarding the actual release of some of the skins and events in this article is yet to be released. Also, they are subjected to changes without any prior notice.

Mobile Legends January 2022: Upcoming skins and events

January 1: January 2022 Starlight Pass

First, up on our list, the January 2022 Starlight Pass will bring along lots of rewards for players purchasing the month’s Starlight Pass. The January 2022 exclusive Starlight skin is believed to be Clint’s “Operator CL”. Many more rewards including emotes, Sacred Statues, etc. just like those available in previous Starlight Passes are expected to also be made available for Starlight Pass holders, as they progress through the Starlight levels.

January 6: Hanabi Collector Skin

Hanabi’s “Riverland Phoenix” is expected to be the January Collector skin, which will be made available in the Grand Collection event on the 6th of January, 2022. It is believed that players will be able to obtain this skin through the Grand Collection event, mainly using Grand Collection Tickets. Players can receive these tickets for completing certain tasks such as logging in to the game or topping up a certain amount of in-game diamonds.

Alternatively, just like previous Grand Collection events, it is expected that players can also use in-game diamonds or Crystal of Auroras in this event. Riverland Phoenix will be the next Collector skin, following Nana’s “Aqua Pura” Collector skin in the January of 2022.

January 11: Yve Elite Skin

On the 11th of January, 2022, fans of the Mage hero, Yve can rejoice over the release of a new Elite skin for her. Yve’s “Ruin Protectress” will be making its debut in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on the 11th of January, 2022. It is currently unclear how Ruin Protectress will be available for players to obtain. Although, it is believed to be available for direct purchase from the in-game shop tab using in-game diamonds.

January 18: New Hero Yin

Players of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang can look forward to the release of a brand new Fighter hero, Yin– the Kungfu Genius. Yin. He will be making his debut in the game on the 18th of January, 2022, after being released back in Patch 1.6.40 of the game’s Advanced Server.

Yin is expected to be available for players to purchase from the in-game Shop using either Battle Points or in-game Diamonds, with a discount for in-game Diamonds purchases likely on his launch week.

January 18: Revamped Valentine’s & Chinese New Year Skins

With both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year not far away from the month of January, it is believed that some revamped Valentine’s and Chinese New Year skins will be making their debut in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on January 18, 2022. Although the names of the exact revamped skins being released are unclear, it is believed that the skins will be Miya’s “Sweet Fantasy”, Clint’s “Gun and Roses”, Layla’s “Cannon and Roses”, as well as Aurora’s “Foxy Lady”.

January 20: Aurora Aquarius Zodiac Skin Encore

Aurora’s “Aquarius” Zodiac Skin is also expected to make a return to the game on the 20th of January, 2022 as the next Zodiac Skin from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s special Zodiac Skin line, being made available in-game in an encore. It is believed that players will be able to obtain this skin through the in-game Zodiac Summon event mainly using Crystal of Aurora to increase their Star Power, with players typically gaining 1-5 Star Power upon each summon, and a slight possibility that players receive 100 Star Power on a single draw and therefore obtaining the skin.

Alternatively, just like previous Zodiac Summon events, it is expected that players can also use in-game Diamonds in this event. Aurora’s “Aquarius” Zodiac Skin will be the next Zodiac Skin available in-game following Martis’ “Capricorn” Zodiac Skin.

January 22: Fanny and Layla New Anime Collab Skin

On the 22nd of January, 2022, the highly-anticipated anime collaboration skin for the Assassin hero, Fanny, will be making its debut in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Fanny’s “Blade of Unmei” will be one of the two skins that will be released in the game as part of the anime collaboration.

Layla’s “Miss Hikari” will be the second skin that will be released in the game as part of the anime collaboration. It is currently unclear whether Blade of Unmei and Miss Hikari will be available for players to obtain via the in-game shop using in-game diamonds or via a special event that will be released in the game as part of the anime collaboration. The rarities of these 2 skins are also currently unknown.

January 25: Gloo Special Skin

On the 25th of January, 2022, Gloo’s “Jellyman” will be making its debut in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. As a relatively new hero in the game, Jellyman will only be Gloo’s second skin in the game. It is currently unclear how Ruin Protectress will be available for players to obtain. Although, it is believed to be available for direct purchase from the in-game shop tab using in-game diamonds.

January 31: Sun Chinese New Year Skin

On the 31st of January, 2022, the Fighter hero Sun, will be receiving an all-new Chinese New Year skin in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. There is currently little information regarding this skin, including its name and rarity. It is currently unclear whether Sun’s new skin will be available for players to obtain via a certain in-game draw using a specified type of game currency and/or in-game diamonds, or for direct purchase from the game’s in-game Shop tab using in-game diamonds.
