For now, let’s focus on Hanabi.

Skill Analysis

Hanabi is a hero with the common four skill sets of one passive and three actives. In this Hanabi guide, let’s see her abilities in Mobile Legends, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of her.

Passive – Ninjutsu: Petal Barrage (Buff)

Mobile Legends Hanabi Passive

Hanabi’s basic attacks and skills are enhanced with Petal Blades, which bounce up to four times to nearby enemies after hitting a target. The first bounce deals 40% of the initial damage, with subsequent bounces decreasing slightly to 85% of the previous. Additionally, bounces from her basic attacks carry a portion of Attack Effects.

Skill 1 – Ninjutsu: Equinox (Shield, Buff)

CD – 15.0

Mobile Legends Hanabi Skill 1

Hanabi activates a shield worth 300 (plus 40% of her Total Physical Attack) for 5 seconds, granting her 20% Movement Speed and 25% Attack Speed. Moreover, 20% of the damage she deals to enemy heroes contributes to this shield, while only 10% of the damage dealt to non-hero units does so. The shield’s capacity is capped at 50% of Hanabi’s maximum HP. As a passive effect, Hanabi becomes immune to control effects when shielded by any source.

Skill 2 – Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll (AOE)

CD – 8.0

Mobile Legends Hanabi Skill 2

Hanabi launches her energy Kunai in the designated direction, dealing 450 (plus 80% of her Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies caught in its path. Additionally, affected enemies experience a 60% reduction in Movement Speed for 1 second. Those hit by the Kunai are marked, enabling Hanabi’s subsequent Bounce Damage from Basic Attacks to deal 30 (plus 100% of her Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to them without any decay in damage.

Skill 3 – Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana (CC, AOE)

CD – 40.0

Mobile Legends Hanabi Ultimate Skill

Hanabi hurls her Higanbana in the specified direction, striking the first enemy hero for 300 (plus 50% of her Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage and immobilizing them for 0.8 seconds. After a brief delay of 1 second, Higanbana blooms at the initial hit location, dealing 300 (plus 50% of her Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to nearby enemies. Damage to subsequent hits on the same target diminishes to 20%.

This skill can be used as both an offensive skill and defensive skill due to the mass immobilizing effect. This skill is also very useful against enemy ganks because of how easily Higanbana blooms when there are many enemies around that area. The immobilizing effect of this skill would grant you more time to finish them off with your Petal Barrage (Skill 1).

Skill-up method for Hanabi

As for Hanabi’s skill upgrade, prioritize Skill 2. Upgrade Skill 1 accordingly, and Ultimate whenever available. Skill 2 >> Skill 3 >> Skill 1

Combinations to perform with Hanabi

Easy combos

In the first combo, start by using Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana (Skill 3) to deal damage and slow enemies. Then, keep up the pressure with basic attacks. Wrap up the attack by activating Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll (Skill 2) to boost damage and use Skill 1 for a shield and crowd control immunity.

On the other hand, the second combo starts with Ninjutsu: Equinox (Skill 1), giving you a shield for defense. Then, quickly switch to Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll (Skill 2) to boost your damage. Next, use Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana (Skill 3) to disrupt enemies and deal damage. Finish with basic attacks (AA) for maximum damage. These combos are key strategies for mastering Hanabi’s combat skills, adaptable to different battle situations.

Best Emblem Set and Spells for Hanabi in Mobile Legends

For Hanabi in the Gold Lane, we suggest using the Custom Marksman emblem. You can pick talents that best match your style and needs to improve your Hanabi gameplay.

Custom Marksman emblem

In the Gold Lane, Hanabi benefits from the Custom Marksman emblem, which boosts her Attack Speed, Adaptive Attack, and Lifesteal, allowing her to deal more damage with her basic attacks while also sustaining herself through the Lifesteal. For the standard talents, I recommend going with the Swift for extra attack speed and Tenacity provides added survivability by increasing her defense when her health is low.

For the core talent, Quantum Charge is recommended. It offers HP regeneration and a movement speed boost every time Hanabi lands a basic attack. This not only enhances her sustainability in lane but also improves her mobility. However, if you want to read an in-depth emblem guide, check here.

Battle Spells

For the battle spell, Aegis is the optimal choice as it enhances Hanabi’s sustainability and augments the effectiveness of her first skill by granting immunity to crowd control abilities. You can also go for Inspire, it enhances her attack speed, allowing her to unleash a flurry of basic attacks. On the other hand, Flicker provides Hanabi with a reliable escape mechanism or gap closer, allowing her to reposition herself.

Mobile Legends Hanabi Gameplay Tips

Hanabi is one of the strongest late-game marksmen. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Hanabi guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

In the early game, focus on harassing the enemy gold laner with Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll and basic attacks while maintaining a safe distance from potential ganks. Maximize your passive in laning, hit the closest minion in clearing waves, and let your attacks bounce to enemy heroes.

Avoid overextending without support from your roamer or jungle. If the enemy attempts to engage or retaliate, make sure to time your Ninjutsu: Equinox activation effectively to grant yourself a shield for added protection and immunity against enemy crowd control effects. This ensures that you can fend off enemy attacks more effectively and maintain your position in the lane.

Mid Game

As the game enters the mid-game, focus on positioning yourself well during team fights. Use Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana to disrupt enemy movements, especially when they’re grouped up. Follow up with Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll and Inspire to deal massive damage. You can also activate Ninjutsu: Equinox for increased attack speed, but save it for defense against assassins or crowd control.

If enemies gang up on you, use Higanbana to immobilize them and deal heavy damage. Just remember, Hanabi becomes a prime target in the mid-game, so be cautious when pushing alone.

Late Game

In the late game, your positioning is key. Make sure you’re in a good spot during team fights, where you can deal damage while staying safe from enemies. Use Hanabi’s skills wisely, especially Forbidden Jutsu: Higanbana and Ninjutsu: Soul Scroll, to wreck the enemy team. Make sure your Aegis or Wind of Nature is ready before going in team fights.
