Welp, another game bites the dust as Netmarble’s open-world action RPG Marvel Future Revolution will shut down and end its servicers globally on August 25th, 2023. Dubbed Marvel’s first mobile title in the genre, it will shut down exactly the same day as it was available globally, two years later.
The lackluster updates are one of the reasons behind the shut down
First announced in 2021, Marvel Future Revolution allowed players to follow an epic story with their favorite Marvel Super Heroes. Created using Unreal Engine, the game became quickly popular thanks to its simple controls and interesting combat gameplay alongside the full 3D, realistic graphic style.
However, there were inconsistencies in terms of updates and gameplay, and this always hits the developer. The game, even with over 10 million global downloads, couldn’t keep up, and henceforth, decided to call it quits, leaving plenty of its fans in turmoil.
Purchases in-game have been disabled as of June 2nd at 12:00 (UTC+9). The End of Services, End of Purchase, and closure of the Official Community Schedule have been given as follows.

Even though there hasn’t been communication regarding the shut down, they have mentioned a line regarding the size of the game updates dating back to October 2022. In this, the disappointment of providing viable updates has been clear, and the failure to maintain the game consistency and quality could be the major reasons behind the end of service.
It is always upsetting to hear that a mobile game has ended its service, especially after demonstrating excellent potential and a significant number of downloads. Now, we have no other option but to find other games to fill the vacuum.

I was really disappointed to know that MFR was getting shut down that was one of my favourite mobile games and I didn’t even get a notification about the game and the last day to play it. Cause I had really high characters and my scarlet witch was close to level 100 so that made me sad when I tried to go play it. I really enjoyed playing that game. Hopefully they’ll bring it back but idk.
