In August 2024, you will be able to go up against Pokémon such as Thundurus and Moltres amongst many others.

August will also be the second month of the 15th Season of the Season of Shared Skies which will go on till September 3, 2024. You will also be able to fight against Shadow Suicune every weekend for August 2024 as a part of the Shadow Battle Raids.

These Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6 PM to 7 PM. You don’t need to worry about checking the time according to your time zone as all of the times are adjusted concerning your local time.

Spotlight Hours in Pokémon Go
The following Pokémon will be available from 6 PM to 7 PM local time for Pokémon Spotlight Hours on the specific dates along with the bonus they provide.

- Lileep: 2x Candy for catching a Pokémon on August 13
- Mankey: 2x Candy for transferring a Pokémon on August 20
- Magnemite: 2x XP for evolving a Pokémon on August 27

You can earn an encounter with different Pokémon by completing Various Field Research tasks. August is also the third month of the new Research Breakthrough event which will go on till September 3, 2024.
