Pokémon Unite fans have been getting exciting new Pokémon to play within the games since its release. Towards the end of last month, the development team teased that two more playable Pokémon would be released into the game very soon with one scheduled for April. Now that the team has made an official statement, Azumarill will officially join the fleet on April 7, 2022.
When the teaser announcement was posted last month, Pokémon fans across the globe went crazy as there was very little clue about which Pokémon would be released. But hardcore Pokémon fans were still able to figure out a lot of things, as per the given clues in the teaser for the first Pokémon, blue hands are visible in the picture, and the Pokémon with blue hands and the all-rounder role is the water/fairy type Pokémon, Azumarill, which first appeared in the Pokémon Gold and Silver series.
Meet Azumarill, the new all-rounder in Pokémon Unite
In the trailer released by the team, we can see Azumarill using a whirlpool to prevent enemies from getting close. In the trailer, Azumarill can be seen using Play rough a Fairy-type move that makes it invincible for some time. The trailer also displayed the Aqua tail move which is an attack move that carries out multiple strikes in an area.
Azumarill is the final evolved form of Marill and Azurill from Generation 2 and Generation 3, becoming the 34th Pokémon to join the Pokémon Unite Roster, Azumarill is an intense all-rounder with access to a wide range of water-based moves and the ability to defend and deal damage to opponents.
Azumarill’s main physical feature is its barbell-shaped tail that helps it make several attack moves. Its main abilities include thick fat and huge power, while its weaknesses are grass, electricity, and poison.
With Azumarill now confirmed in the Unite Roster, the curiosity for the announcement of the next Pokémon is building up, but we can only wait for the official announcement to happen in that case.
