Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason Vietnam champions
Divine eSports locked horns with RSG in the finals

As the main event of the stream and the tournament, the finals surely did not disappoint. The BO5 series ended up with a 3-2 score. All the games were intense and both teams most definitely performed. Here’s how the matches in the finals went down.

Game 1: Divine eSports won

Draft

  • Divine eSports- Kuzan used Akali, Nheo used Jarvan IV, Coyote used Annie, Hope1 used Miss Fortune, and Covina used Lulu.
  • RSG- Dark used Olaf, Cozy used Lee Sin, Trumhp1408 used Ziggs, Iamsu used Corki, and Nam used Alistar.

The first match was very action-packed and nerve-wracking. Both teams performed well, tried to outwit, and outplay each other. However, Divine eSports came out winning ways.

Hope1 was crowned MVP with an impressive KDA of 11-1-15. Absolutely perfect positioning and getting several badges such as Most Damage as well. Solid performance.

Game 2: RSG won

Draft

  • Divine eSports- Kuzan used Camille, Nheo used Jarvan IV, Coyote used Annie, Hope1 used Miss Fortune, and Corina used Lulu.
  • RSG- Dark used Olaf, Cozy used Lee sin, Trumhp1408 used Orianna, Iamsu used Kai’Sa, and Nam used Alistar.

The second match turned out to be more intense and action-packed than the first match. It was intense from the first minute until the end and was unpredictable – when you thought one team was winning, something happens, and the other team comes with a play to turn the game around. It was a roller-coaster of emotions in this match.

Trumhp1408 was crowned MVP. No doubt, because he absolutely saved RSG with the most clutch play we have seen on a Wild Rift pro game before. KDA is 6-1-10.

Game 3: Divine eSports won

Draft

  • Divine eSports- Kuzan used Gragas, Nheo used Jarvan IV, Coyote used Orianna, Hope1 used Kai’Sa, and Covina used Nami.
  • RSG- Dark used Olaf, Cozy used Xin Zhao, Trumph1408 used Corki, Iamsu used Miss Fortune, and Nam used Lulu.

In this match, RSG was completely out drafted by Divine eSports, resulting in a dominant win. Their team fight power was much superior compared to RSG and they executed it perfectly. RSG couldn’t do anything in the mid-game but get overwhelmed by the Divine eSports’s AoE damage and CC. Still, a good break after the 2 intense games that these 2 teams have shown.

Coyote was crowned MVP. Despite having a backseat playstyle. He has played very consistently the whole series. Good performance by him, also joining the most teamfights in the game. KDA is 6-2-13.

Game 4: RSG won

Draft

  • Divine eSports- Dark used Akali, Cozy used Vi, Trumph1408 used Ziggs, Iamsu used Kai’Sa, and Nam used Braum
  • RSG- Kuzan used Gragas, Nheo used Wukong, Coyote used Annie, Hope1 used Miss Fortune, and Covina used Lulu.

The 4th match was once again full of action, turnarounds, and a more exciting ending in the series. After getting absolutely hammered by Divine eSports’s team fight last game, RSG came up with a team fight comp of their own and it was a bloodbath. The ending was insanely unexpected. After having RSG’s carry picked off and their own base destroyed, RSG came off with a plan and it was their last resort. Cozy sneaked into the enemy base, his teammates teleported to him, and before Divine eSports could come back in time, it was all over.

Trumhp1408 was crowned as MVP. In the 2 wins of RSG, he was crowned as MVP, insane player. Not only that, he dealt 33.5% of his team’s damage this game.

Game 5: RSG won

Draft

  • Divine eSports- Kuzan used Akali, Nheo used Wukong, Coyote used Annie, Hope1 used Kai’Sa, and Covina used Lulu.
  • RSG- Dark used Olaf, Cozy used Jarvan IV, Trumhp1408 used Ziggs. Iamsu used Miss Fortune, and Nam used Gragas.

Since it is a game where the championship is on the line, both teams performed to their fullest limits. Moreover, it was an absolute bloodbath, and desperation plays were everywhere. However, despite Divine eSports being a king of team fight comps being like that throughout the series caused a problem for RSG. Nevertheless, RSG gave a tough fightback and put up a team fight comp of their own. Therefore, this match-changing decision won them the game.
