Sky: Children of the Light, the beloved social adventure game recently saw their 5th-anniversary event, SkyFest 2024 take place in Tokyo, Japan on July 13-14. The CEO and Creative Director Jenova Chen also announced an upcoming new Sky: Children of the Light season in collaboration with the timeless Moomin series which caught everyone’s attention in the event. An official date was not provided for the collaboration, however, it will take place in the fall of 2024.
The event saw the participation of over 300,000 fans and saw Skyfest amass over 10,000 players in a single instance for SkyFest Cinema which gave the fans who could not join for the in-person event an immersive feature enabling them to enjoy a shared video streaming experience.
Sky: Children of the Light is already ready with its new “Season of Duets” and now has confirmed a Moomin Collab for the upcoming season
Sky: Children of the Light is a pretty famous title and the developers do justice to the title by bringing new seasons with added content for the fans to enjoy. The game recently announced a new season “Season of Duets” and will have a collaboration with the animated series, Moomin for a future season. The SkyFest event will continue in-game as well till July 26 allowing you to receive some exclusive goodies for the duration of the event.
The current season, Season of Duets will follow the story of two spirits bonded by Music as the adventure unfolds in their life and the upcoming Moomin Collab season will reflect on the cross-cultural themes of the Moomin stories, such as family, friendship, nature, and introspection.
The collaboration will specifically highlight Ninny’s story, “The Invisible Child”, from 1962’s Tales of Moominvalley and will aim to provide a touching and moving experience for the fanbase. The CEO and Creative Director Jenova Chen also announced that a new animated series “Sky: The Two Embers” will be released in 2025.
Not just this two more in-game seasons are in the works and will be released in 2025 alongside the series. With so many new additions to the game coming your way, there will be enough content for all Sky fans to keep them engaged and entertained for quite a while now.
