Subway Surfers City, the latest in the hit endless runner franchise gets a soft launch in select regions

The surfing is back!

If you thought Subway Surfers had faded from the spotlight, think again! The franchise has been busy with some cityscape fun in its latest installment. Yes, Subway Surfers City, the latest in the hit endless runner series, has received a soft launch in select regions on both Android and iOS platforms.

Building from the original Subway Surfers, which thousands of gamers across the world loved due to its simplicity and addictiveness, Subway Surfers City takes this to a different level of fun altogether. The gameplay is almost similar to what you have seen in the franchise, the same coins and running but with a different setting.

Subway Surfers City brings back the original gameplay with a vibrant setting

With the vibrant backdrop of Subway City, you can tackle fresh obstacles, soar to new heights, and unlock a variety of new characters, including fan favorites Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani. Well, the story is the same, to escape from the Guard and Dog, where you need to make a run to save yourself.

Subway Surfers City offers the chance to explore lively districts by collecting XP, uncover hidden secrets by reaching hard-to-find Secret Stars, and upgrade characters and boards, each with unique abilities. You can unlock and combine various surfers and boards to boost your performance.

The game even supports offline play, ensuring the fun continues without the need for an internet connection. From the gameplay, I’ve noticed that it aims to retain the charm and excitement that made the original a global phenomenon, while also introducing new features that enhance and expand the endless running genre.

With the soft launch now live, you can access Subway Surfers City on your devices, on both Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and App Store respectively. With select regions including Canada, Denmark, and the Netherlands, players from these regions can access it now, with the global release details not available yet.
