Sonic Rumble, the casual party game from SEGA is going live soon with the first phase of plans for the game’s awaited release. The game has now shared its official launch roadmap, beginning from this Summer of 2024 till the Winter, as the first phase of Sonic Rumble will begin with early access in the Philippines.

Sonic Rumble launch roadmap: All you need to know

As mentioned earlier, Phase 1 of the roadmap is with the Philippines early access, which will kickstart on August 20, 2024. Labeled “Pre-Launch 1,” players from the Philippines can test and try this version. However, remember that gameplay data collected during this phase will be reset.

As summer transitions into fall, Sonic Rumble will enter its second phase, the Pre-Launch 2. This phase expands the game’s availability to additional regions, including Peru and Colombia, although more regions are expected to be added at a later date. Phase 3 will feature regions majorly from Europe with Brazil in the mix.

In addition to this, a pre-registration period will be opened globally during this time. Players who participated in Pre-Launch 1 and remain active in Pre-Launch 2 will receive a special in-game item as a reward. The roadmap ends with the global launch of Sonic Rumble in the winter, in line with their previous announcement.

Going by winter dates, I expect a release between December to March of 2025, so the release might be pushed towards early next year. Still, by then, the game will have been thoroughly tested and improved, hence we can expect fantastic gameplay enjoyment.

Sonic Rumble will face heavy competition in the genre following Fall Guys launch

With all the details covered, it’s clear that the party game genre is getting crowded with strong contenders. With the release of Fall Guys via the Epic Games Store on mobile, the inspired games will surely be on the back foot. With Stumble Guys, Eggy Party, and Mobile Party already available for mobile devices, there is intense competition.

Still, there is no doubt that we will get the best gameplay experience from this title, as it can feature more unique gameplay modes. As we move closer to winter, the anticipation for Sonic Rumble’s global launch is sure to build, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to dive into the action.
