League of Legends: Wild Rift has released the Patch 2.3 Update where the Broken Blades event has been teased. Two new champions of Riven and Irelia will be entering the Rift with this event, which will be live from the 3rd of June, 2021 to the 16th of June, 2021. After players start to log in from the 2nd of June, they will be prompted to choose between two paths: the Riven path and the Irelia path.
Choosing any champion path will unlock the champion as a reward for completing the task of the event. The path also will determine the type of reward you would be receiving. Let’s check the mission and rewards for each different path.
How to unlock Riven – ‘The Exile’ in Wild Rift

Unlock secondary missions of unpicked champion
If the player finishes all the primary missions of the path, they will also be able to play the secondary missions of the champion which they haven’t selected. In case one chooses to play Riven, then after completing the primary missions of the Riven path, the player will be able to play the missions of the Irelia path as secondary missions. Although, the rewards will be either Blue Motes or Poro coins.
Difficulty of Champion
The developers also teased that the difficulty of gameplay of Irelia will be a little challenging and warn the players to try her out in the Practice toolkit. Nonetheless, both the champions are available for 725 Wild Cores or 5500 Blue Motes in the Wild Rift store to purchase and play on release. But we would advise you to complete the task and obtain the champion you would like to play.
