Clash of Clans: How to beat the Don’t Poke the Bear Challenge

Poke it, still!

Clash of Clans introduced the June 2024 “Wild West” season with a few events this time, and I thought it was just the Fear the Rocket Spear challenge coming, but the June 2024 update had something on offer thanks to the new troop Druid, and hence to try him out we have the Don’t Poke the Bear Challenge. To crack the same with ease, I have crafted a comprehensive guide outlining effective strategies for a three-star attack in Clash of Clans.

Introducing the Don’t Poke the Bear Challenge in Clash of Clans

Just as the name suggests, this Challenge showcases the new Druid troop. Before heading to the attack, I suggest you understand how this new troop works, learn the strategies, and work on them so that it becomes easy to tackle the base. Since the troop unlocks at Town Hall 14, we have the same base to tackle in this challenge.

Jumping to the gift side, the reward structure remains consistent with previous challenges, with the team being on the lazier side of the distribution. Along with the extra resources provided, players can gain 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Resource Potion.

Now, my suggestion is to start by focusing on the bottom of the base on the right. Place your Ice Golem in front of the barracks, followed by your Barbarian King. When the Ice Golem pops and freezes the defending heroes, send in your three Headhunters from the same location. Now, you need to wait until at least one of the enemy heroes goes down before activating your King’s ability and clearing that defensive area.

Keep a close eye on the single-target Inferno, which will lock onto your Barbarian King if you don’t look after it. So when it locks on to the king, let it lock up for a second or two, then use a Freeze Spell on it. If the Barbarian King lures the enemy Clan Castle troops, use your poison spell to take them out. If not, deploy your Archer Queen towards the bottom of the base and move her towards the army camp on the left.

Next up, use one Balloon to lure the opponent Clan Castle Headhunters. If the Barbarian King is still alive, the Headhunters might head towards him, but the chances are less. You can poison them as they approach. In my gameplay, they came down to the Queen, so if the case is true for you too, use your poison spell on them and add two Druid troops to heal your Queen.

These Druids heal for a limited time, so only use two at this point. Next, move to the left side of the base and deploy your Stone Slammer, Dragon Riders, and Royal Champion alongside the Balloons. Deploy one Druid here as well, since they can heal air troops.

Use a Rage spell on the Dragon Riders and another on the Queen, then add the remaining two Druids. Freeze the multi-target Infernos as your troops advance. Rage the area again as the Dragon Riders and Balloons move through. For cleanup, you can use the Minions from the left side of the base.

Use your final Freeze spell on the single-target Inferno near the Town Hall if it locks onto your Archer Queen. This is the perfect opportunity to catch the Town Hall in the freeze as well. Some of your hero abilities might trigger automatically, that’s fine, but try to use them strategically when your heroes are under attack.
