MOONTON Games, the devs behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has finally introduced a new Solo Rank mode into the Advanced server. This new Ranked mode titled Arena mode, judging from its structure, is specifically geared for Solo rank players in Mobile Legends. The new rank mode is live on the Advanced server and is still in its test phase. This new Arena mode is expected to bring about new challenging rank systems to make it all worth the play. Let us check out the new mode’s structure, requirements, and intriguing features.
Mobile Legends Arena Mode: Structure and Features
The Arena mode is a new ranked mode currently available only in the Advanced Server. It is developed to support just Solo ranking, thus, it doesn’t support duo/trio/5-man player lobby. The new Arena mode is located in the bottom-right corner of the Main UI right beside the Game Mode button. The Arena mode Structure is highlighted briefly below:
Lane Selection Phase
Players on entering the Arena mode interface, therefore, would be allowed to choose their favorite lanes out of the total 5 lanes available, which are the likes of Jungle, Mid lane, Exp lane, Gold lane, and Roam. In this lane selection phase, players can choose a minimum of 1 preferred lane and a maximum of 3 preferred lanes.
Main Hero Selection
This is one of the core and most vital parts of the Arena mode. This phase only allows players to select recommended heroes that are peculiar to each role. These main selected heroes, however, would be the only heroes one would be able to use when ranking in the Arena mode. Also, players can only select owned heroes with at least 2 mastery with them.
Players can select a maximum of 4 of their best heroes in each role. It is more advisable to include powerful meta-heroes in your main hero list. On selecting the preferred Main heroes and lanes, one can then proceed to matchmaking.
Hero Selection Phase
In the new Arena mode, players would only have access to their pre-selected heroes. Each player would be allowed to ban 1 out of the 4 available pre-selected heroes of the enemy player on the opposite side.
Thus, players would be only able to choose from 3 of their pre-selected heroes to use in the Arena mode match.
New Lanes, Possibilities, and more
The Arena mode would also bring about new intriguing possibilities to the game. Some of the new features include:
- The Arena mode is only available 12 hours a day. It opens server time each day and closes 12 hours later.
- Players can choose to be anonymous in this mode. Doing this, people won’t be able to see your in-game name.
- The Arena mode possesses a new Ranking system making it a bit different from the normal Ranked mode. The Arena is divided into 5 rank divisions, Sapphire Lane, Amethyst Lane, Amber Lane, Ruby Lane, and Prismatic Lane. World Ranking is unlocked in the Prismatic Lane.
Key rules to note when participating in the Arena mode
When it comes to ranking in the Arena mode, there are some stringent rules in place to make sure things go well in-match. Some of them include:
- Players can participate in Arena mode, only if they have attained the Mythic rank in that season or the Mythical Glory rank in the last season.
- Players can only play in their pre-selected lane. If a player’s actual lane differs from the pre-selected lane, such a player would not earn stars for a win and they would lose Credit Score. Thus, picking the Gold/Mid/Exp lane and then following up with a retribution spell or Roam boots would trigger the penalty.
- Players with a Credit Score below 100 cannot participate in the Arena matches.

Judging from the intriguing features possessed by the new Arena mode system, one can undoubtedly admit that lots of new intriguing gameplay await players. Its release in the Original Server would surely make things more fun for Solo players to dominate their style.
