The action RPG Wuthering Waves has finally received a global launch, and without any surprises, the game has already attracted plenty of attention, and hence many players are currently active now. However, a new release has its own share of problems and thus gets some feedback. However, Wuthering Waves is now getting severe backlash from players due to a serious translation error, with a few of them even planning to report the case to the Consumer Affairs Agency Department.
Additionally, the developers announced a creator program in January 2024, informing how interested people could apply. Additionally, there are resources such as redeem codes, a reroll guide, a beginner’s guide, an element guide, a weapon guide, echoes, a gacha system, a co-op guide, and a tier list to aid you as you progress through the game. You can also delve into troubleshooting bugs, Twitch drops, and opportunities for free rewards, along with guidance on how to claim them.
Wuthering Waves’s idea of giving 1 roll as compensation for fixing the error is also receiving flak
This situation involves a significant translation error by developer Kuro Games, leading to a misunderstanding among Japanese (JP) players about the effects of the 5-star limited character Jiyan’s signature weapon. The effect of Jiyan’s signature weapon was incorrectly translated into Japanese as “Each time an Intro Skill or Resonance Skill, …,” when it should have been “Each time an Intro Skill or Resonance Liberation, …“.
Although it might seem like a simple translation mistake, these terms refer to specific abilities or mechanics within the game, and players relying on this wrong description might not understand the weapon’s actual in-game benefits.
Just a while after the error was reported, Kuro Games corrected the mistake in the game’s description. To address the inconvenience caused by the error, Kuro Games offered 1 roll, and this was the last straw for the already frustrated players.
The matter has been escalated to the extent that some Japanese players are talking about reporting Kuro Games to this governmental body. The players could argue that the translation error constitutes misleading information, considered a violation of the Consumer Protection Act.
Well, things aren’t going smoothly for the developer. The release, according to many players, looks rushed, and many believe that the communication gap between the developer and its users is big and large. Here’s hoping there are no more hurdles while playing the game.
