Mobile Legends, the popular MOBA from MOONTON Games, will wrap up its esports journey for 2023. So, the game has hosted several regional leagues and now comes to host the biggest event of MLBB Esports, the Mobile Legends M5 World Championship 2023.
From the 23rd of November 2023 to the 17th of December, the MOBA world will watch the top teams performing on the global stage of Mobile Legends. The offline event will take place in the Philippines.
Mobile Legends M5 World Championship 2023: Schedule and Format
The event is divided into several stages. To select the final two teams, the wildcard stage will commence first before stepping onto the Group Stage. The wildcard stage will feature eight teams to fight in two groups and then select the top four for two crossover matches. Later, the winners of the two matches will advance to the Group Stage of the M5. Let’s take a look at the group stage of the M5.
Group Stage
16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. Single round-robin matches will follow a BO3 format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage. The group stage will take place from the 2nd of December to the 7th.
Knockout Stage
Scheduled to start on the 9th of December, the Knockout stage will watch the remaining 8 teams from the group stage. Matches will be played in a double-elimination bracket followed by B05 format. The grand finals of the M5 World Championship 2023 will be a BO7.
Participating Teams
A total of 22 teams will join the M5 World Championship 2023 but the main stage will feature 16 teams. As of now, 14 teams are already locked in from several regional slots. The final two teams will be selected from the Wildcard Stage of the M5. Here is a list of the participants.

M5 World Championship 2023: Prize Pool
As the M5 World Championship 2023 is the largest event of MLBB Esports, the size of the prize pool is also massive. A whopping $900,000 will be awarded to the teams along with a few individual awards for the players. The allocation of shares for each team is not revealed yet.
Millions of MLBB fans around the world will be eagerly waiting to watch the intense battle and action from their favorite teams. Those who will not be able to attend the event in person can watch the live stream of the event on the official YouTube and Facebook of Mobile Legends.
