The Pokémon Battle Festival Asia 2021 will be starting this November

Battle it out with your favourite Pokémon!

The Pokémon Company, in cooperation with ESL (Electronic Sports League), is launching the first Pokémon esports this November called Pokémon Battle Festival Asia 2021. The festival will start in November 2021 and will continue up to February 2022. The Pokémon Battle Festival Asia 2021 is going to be an online tournament where players will be battling against each other throughout Asia.

The festival will be featuring many game titles like Pokémon: Trading Card Game, Pokémon Go, Pokémon UNITE, and some new titles will also be released. But it seems that the list of the game titles doesn’t include Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Pokémon Battle Festival will also include a number of variety shows with your favorite Pokémon guests. 

Regions where the festival will be held

Mainly the players from the Asian countries will be able to participate in the Virtual Pokémon festival. The countries that will be attending this festival are the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Japan. The players have to first compete in the national level competition before qualifying at the regional level.

Pokémon Battle Festival Asia 2021 complete schedule

The dates of the different game events in different countries are mentioned on the official website of The Pokémon Company. After the national rounds, the regional rounds of the game and the playoffs will be broadcast so players around the world can also enjoy the festival. The playoffs schedule is as follows:

  • Pokémon GO Tournament Regional Playoff: January 2, 2022
  • Pokémon UNITE 48 Group Exhibition Match Playoffs: January 16, 2022
  • Pokémon Trading Card game Tournament: Regional Playoffs: February 12 and 13, 2022
  • Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl Playoffs: February 13, 2022
