- MLB The Show Mobile pre-registration now live on Android and iOS.
- Features real-time gameplay controls with card-based team building.
Sony is finally opening the doors wider for its baseball title on mobile as the next step closer to global release has been taken. MLB The Show Mobile has now officially started pre-registration on Android and iOS platforms.
Features like the Risk It mechanic and Momentum system add to the experience
Work on the mobile version actually goes back to 2022, when job listings around the MLB The Show 22 period hinted at a possible mobile port as part of Sony’s push into the mobile space. That push became more visible when Sony started talking about bringing more of its franchises to phones with a free-to-play approach.
We then saw the first real step in December 2025, when MLB The Show Mobile soft-launched in the Philippines on both mobile platforms. Now the soft-launch phase is going to be a full-fledged launch thanks to pre-registrations now live.

So speaking about the game, on the gameplay side, it sticks close to what you’d expect from the series, but with a mobile-friendly feel. You still get full control over batting, pitching, fielding, and base running, along with features like the “Risk It?” mechanic that lets you control runners in real time.
There’s also a Momentum system in place that adds a deeper layer of strategy. At the same time, the game leans into a card-based team-building system. With 900+ player cards, including current stars and legends, you’ll be building your roster based on how you want to play.
There are a few modes lined up as well. Seasons mode brings shorter matches with map-style progression, while PvP is built around quick best-of-3 matchups, which makes more sense for the mobile version of the experience.
MLB The Show Mobile has a pre-registration campaign with a Diamond Aaron Judge card available
For now, if you’re interested, you can pre-register through the Google Play Store or App Store and wait for the global rollout. As for the release timeline, nothing has been officially locked in yet, but the App Store listing currently points to May 26, 2026, as the expected launch window.
If you pre-register, there’s a small bonus waiting at launch. You will be able to claim a Diamond Aaron Judge card and a profile icon, as long as it’s redeemed within the first seven days. You can also vote for additional reward cards to be added to the launch lineup on the official website.
