Finx, a Mythic Brawler, is the newest edition to the Brawl Stars roster. This controller-class Brawler is now available in the Shop in-game on February 28, 2025. In this guide, we will dive into Finx’s special attacks, gadgets, star powers, and gears, and provide helpful tips and tricks to help you master him in Brawl Stars.

New Brawler: Finx

• Class: Controller
• Health at level 11: 7200
• Damage at level 11: 1800 Main Damage, 900 Side Damage

Finx belongs to Mythic Brawler rarity and is available right now in the in-game shop as early access and you can purchase Finx’s Value Pack along with other exclusive rewards for $11.99. The pack includes Finx, Jurassic Finx Skin, 5000 Coinsy, 80 Gems, Pin set, and Spray. Or you can wait till March 6, 2025, and unlock him for 1900 Credits or 349 Gems through Starr Road.

Brawl Stars Finx Guide: Abilities Breakdown

Finx’s Attack: Chronocast

With his main attack, Chronocast, Finx fires three long-range projectiles. The outer projectiles deal 50% of the damage of the center one, allowing you to inflict significant damage to enemy Brawlers.

Finx’s Super: Time Warp

Finx’s Super, Time Wrap, manipulates time within an area for 7 seconds. It reduces the projectile speed of enemy Brawlers caught in the Super while increasing the projectile speed of your teammates and yourself. Moreover, Finx’s projectiles also receive a damage buff.

Tips for using Finx’s Super

• Use it to protect your team: Finx’s Super is great for protecting your team. For instance, it can slow down powerful enemy Supers like Brock’s Rocket Rain or Barley’s Last Call, giving your team time to reposition or escape the danger zone.
• Aggressive team plays: You should take advantage of the projectile speed boost to go on the offense in game modes like Heist or Gem Grab. This allows you to launch a rapid, coordinated attack.

Gadget

Back to the Finxture

When activated, you can teleport back in time, returning to the position you were in three seconds earlier while restoring the ammo you had at that moment.

No Escape

When you use this Gadget, Finx’s next center projectile from his main attack freezes enemy Brawler for 2 seconds, preventing them from taking any actions but also making them immune to any damage during the effect.

Star Power

Hieroglyph Halt

The Star Power, Hieroglyph Halt, reduces the reload speed of enemy Brawlers hit by your main attack. Their reload speed is decreased by 30% for 3 seconds.

Primer

When you use the Primer Star Power, any damage dealt exclusively by Finx’s projectiles boosted by Time Warp extends the Super’s duration by 0.25 seconds per projectile.

Best Game Modes for Finx

With Finx’s decent HP, significant damage potential, and his highly effective Super, Time Wrap, he can be a great asset in multiple game modes. Here are his best game modes, in my opinion:

• Heist: Finx can be a great pick in Heist mode, as his Time Wrap Super can be highly effective in this mode to deal a lot of damage to the enemy’s safety in a short period.
• Gem Grab: You can try Finx in Gem Grab too, as his projectiles and Super can disrupt opponents, preventing them from grabbing the gems in the center.
• Hot Zone: Finx performs well in Hot Zone with the Back to the Finxture Gadget and Primer Star Power, allowing you to make various strategic plays and maintain control over the zones.

Best Brawler Combination with Finx

Finx’s Super is highly beneficial for the team, and pairing him with the right Brawlers can maximize its impact. I believe Brawlers like Colt or Brock can make the most of Finx’s Super, particularly in modes like Hot Zone and Hiest. Additionally, pairing him with long-range marksmen like Piper can significantly boost the team’s damage. For Tank, Frank or any stun-type tanks can be an excellent choice.

Best Gears for Finx in Brawl Stars

Shield Gear

As a Controller, you need to stay safe in the match to effectively support your team. The Shield Gear works great with Finx, providing an additional 900 health as a consumable shield that regenerates in 10 seconds when you are at full health.

Gadget Cooldown Gear

The new gear, Gadget Cooldown that replaced the Gadget Charge Gear is also very useful for Finx, as it reduces their cooldown by 15%, allowing you to use them more frequently. Since both of Finx’s Gadgets are very effective, this gear can enhance its effectiveness even more.

Health Gear

I believe Health Gear will also pair well with Finx, as it helps him recover HP faster and more quickly after surviving powerful enemy Supers using his own Super. With a 50% increase in health regeneration, this gear proves to be very useful.
