Starr Nova, the new Mythic Brawler, is the 103rd addition to the Brawl Stars roster, announced during the April Brawl Talk 2026. This Assassin-class Brawler is now available in-game via the Brawler Release Event. New Brawler: Starr Nova

So, Starr Nova belongs to the Mythic rarity, and you can currently unlock her through the Brawler Event. Once the event ends on May 31, 2026, she will arrive on the Starr Road, where you can get her using Credits.
You’ll need to collect 14 Brawler Boxes to get her. You can earn a Starr Nova Box after every 2 wins in the Brawler Event. Now, you’ll directly get 12 tickets upfront, and 2 daily tickets, totalling 30 tickets, in addition to 3 free Boxes before the end of the event. You can also try her for free in Mirror Matches.

Starr Nova’s Attack: Nova Hair, Go!
With this, you can fire a piercing, large sparkles from Starr Nova’s hair in 2 waves to deal moderate damage.
Starr Nova’s Super: Nova Crystal, Transform!
Now, with the Nova Crystal, Transform! Super, you can dash forward, transform into Starr Nova’s ultimate form, and use the Nova Sword. During the Super’s duration, you also gain movement speed, and you also get health for dealing damage. Moreover, your main attack also changes shape
Tips for using Starr Nova’s Super
- Know when to transform: During your Super, you become very strong, so you shouldn’t waste it just to escape unless you are in a very tricky situation. You should mainly use it when the enemy Brawlers are already low or grouped to take full advantage of your Nova Sword.
- Stay aggressive while healing: Since you can recover health by dealing damage, you should keep attacking enemies instead of backing away too soon. Her Super is great for applying pressure on enemies.

And with the Mystical Starr Technique star power equipped, your main attack heals teammates equal to 30% of her damage.
Best Game Modes for Starr Nova
To me, Starr Nova feels like a Brawler who can do a bit of everything. I mean, she has solid ranged pressure, team healing, self-healing, mobility, and especially the powerful Super transformation, making her very versatile in diverse game modes. So, here are her best game modes in my opinion:
- Gem Grab: I think Starr Nova will perform well in Gem Grab, since you can constantly create pressure as an Assassin, all while supporting your allies. Once you transform, you can push aggressively into the center to either collect the Gems or take them from enemy Brawlers.
- Knockout: Since she has a good range and sustain, you can try her in slower, more careful game modes like Knockout. You can use the Shining Starr of Friendship and Justice gadget to target enemies and heal teammates at the same time.
Best Brawler Combination with Starr Nova
As I mentioned above, Starr Nova already feels like a very versatile Brawler to me, and with the right teammates, you can perform even better. You can team up with aggressive Brawlers like Mortis, Kenji, or Edgar, since your healing and support can help them survive longer and together you can eliminate enemies.
