Clash of Clans: How to beat the No Strings Attached Challenge

Another base to crack!

As Clash of Clans is here with yet another exciting October 2024 season with the exciting Clash Halloween theme, exciting events were always part of it. Challenges are something that we players look forward to as it is a good test for our skills. As part of this season’s events, Clash of Clans has introduced its second and final challenge titled the No Strings Attached Challenge in Clash of Clans to beat. If you’re reading this article, you’re in the right place to learn how to secure those three stars with your attack.

Introducing the No Strings Attached Challenge in Clash of Clans

I like how the name of the challenge is given by the makers, reminded me of a movie I like. Now, coming to the challenge basics, the base doesn’t have much of an obstruction will the walls, keeping it wide open, but the defense-heavy Town Hall 16 is certainly a threat. So we need to carefully look for the loopholes in the base and then attack.

I think the reward won’t change ever. There don’t seem to be any plans to change this anytime soon, as the makers have been repeatedly lazy. Same as the previous challenge, you will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Power Potion.

How to beat the No Strings Attached Challenge in Clash of Clans

Before starting the attack, set your Grand Warden to air mode. Begin your attack by placing the Archer Queen on the bottom left side of the base, where you can see the Cannon. This is placed to make use of her Giant Arrow ability. Position your Queen directly in front of the cannon and the center of the base, using her ability to clear a path and quickly activate her ability.

Now to get a tank and protect the Queen, deploy your Barbarian King near the bottom left Air Defense. Use two Lightning Spells between the Inferno Tower and the Archer Tower on the same left side of the base you are attacking, targeting the tip of the Inferno, which deals some kind of chip damage. Add two balloons to finish off the Archer Tower, and save the King’s ability until he approaches the X-Bow.

At the same time, the opponent troops will be activated. So looking at the right moment, use the Poison Spell on the Clan Castle to deal with any Super Minions. At the top, if the Air Defense is unaffected, utilize your Overgrowth Spell. Let these carry on and move your attention towards the bottom side of the base and take down the Poison Towers with a Giant each.

Now, time for the other troops to be deployed. Spread your Lavaloon troops in front of the Wizard Tower and Archer Tower, followed by a Rage Spell on the multi-Archer Towers so that these get a boost. Deploy the Warden behind them as well as the Battle Blimp. Click on the ability as soon as the Inferno Tower locks on to the Lavaloon troops.

Deploy your Ice Minions behind them. You can also use them systematically once you see the defenses are getting cleared. This is your choice. Release your balloons from the left side, deploying the Battle Blimp to take out the Town Hall while your Lava Loon targets the far side Air Defense. Once all Poison Tower spells expire, use your bats to eliminate remaining defenses depending on what’s remaining.

With these strategies, you’ll crush the base and secure your three stars! If you found the tips interesting, read other related Clash of Clans articles:
