Crests and Runes are some of the most important items that will guide players to get the most out of their equipment in Diablo Immortal. Runes are those special items that are very rare to find and are considered one of the most valuable crafting materials.

On the other hand, Crests helps to increase the drop rate of these special rare items. In this guide, we will be learning about how to obtain these rarely found Runes and use them for crafting. We will also learn about how to obtain and use Crests in Diablo Immortal.

How to get Runes in Diablo Immortal

As mentioned earlier, Runes are rare to find in Diablo Immortal. There are a total of 24 runes that players can obtain in the game. These runes can be obtained in the game in different ways. So to make things easy, we have mentioned below the ways how to find and collect them.

Completing Elder Rifts

Elder Rifts offers guaranteed Runes as rewards with the help of crests and legendary crests in Diablo Immortal. Players just need to equip these crests just before opening the Elder Rifts. The Rift Guardian will then award the player with a rune drop.

Although, it is important to know that legendary crests offer 3 random runes, whereas the normal crests offer only one. The normal crests can be obtained in the game from different sources, but one needs to buy the legendary crests from the game store. After defeating the Elder Guardian, the chances of dropping runes will increase.

Buying Runes from Fading Embers and Rune Traders

Besides obtaining Runes from the Elder Rifts, you can also buy runes from Fading Embers and Rune Traders. Fading embers are items in Diablo Immortal that can also be obtained by playing elder rifts. After collecting the desired number of fading embers, you can approach the Fading Ember Merchant located in Westmarch to purchase runes in exchange for Fading embers.

  • Ati: Primary source for crafting legendary gems. Can be bought from Fading embers and Rune Traders or by completing Elder Rifts.

  • Bol: Used to craft the Everlasting Torment Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.

  • Fa: Used to craft a random Legendary Gem. This Rune can be bought from Fading Embers and Runes Traders.
  • Imm: Used to craft The Hunger Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Laz: Used to craft the Follower’s Burden Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Lux: Used to craft the Pain of Subjugation Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Nie: Used to craft the Nightmare Wreath Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Nou: Used to craft the Power & Command Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Ord: Used to craft the Respite Stone Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Oth: Used to craft the Cutthroat’s Grin Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Phy: Used to craft the Unity Crystal Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Pyr: Used to craft the Berserker’s Eye Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Rae: Used to craft the Mocking Laughter Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Syl: Used to craft the Ca’arsen’s Invigoration Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Tyr: Used to craft the Seled’s Weakening Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Urs: Used to craft the Zod Stone Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Vox: Used to craft the Chained Death Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Weh: Used to craft The Black Rose Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.
  • Zuh: Used to craft the Bloody Reach Legendary Gem. Obtained by completing Elder Rifts.

How to get Crests in Diablo Immortal

As discussed earlier, Crests are those items in the game that helps in increasing the chance to get a hand on rare gears and items such as runes and legendary gems. There are a total of 5 different ways to obtain crests in the game.

1. Purchasing from the Shop

The Eternal Legendary crests can be bought from the shop in exchange for Eternal Orbs. One Eternal Legendary Crest costs 160 eternal orbs.

2. Purchasing from the Crest Merchant

There is an alternate option to buy eternal legendary crests apart from buying from the in-game shop. Players can also opt for buying eternal legendary crests from the Crest Merchant located close to the Elder Rift in Westmarch, in exchange for Eternal Orbs.

3. Purchasing from the Hilts Trader

By approaching the Hilts Trader located on the northern side of Westmarch, players can get to buy normal crests and legendary crests. They can buy 2 normal crests per day and 1 legendary crest per month from the Hilts Trader.

4. Battle Pass

Players can obtain the normal crests and the legendary crests both from the free battle pass, as well as from the empowered one.

5. Shadow Wars

If a player is one of the members of the top 10 dark clans, they will be rewarded with a few rewards which may include a legendary crest. As the Shadow wars are weekly events, it is one of the most consistent ways to achieve a legendary crest.
