Wild Rift January 2021 Tier List: The meta discussion for Season 1

1. Don’t Mess with the Yordles

Wild Rift has opened the portal for the Yordles with the new ranked season launch. And not to disappoint, the Yordles are not just adorable but they are too good to play. Kennen the Yordle ninja has wrecked the battlefield with his lightning-quick crowd control skill and is the newest hero of Baron lane. Lulu’s supporting skill and illusion have boosted the ally champions to dominate during the entire game. Likewise, Tristana is the new ADC with some late hyper carry stats. She has some insane physical damage-dealing abilities with great mobility skills.

The Yordles have received some overpowered patch during their release event and they have come with a strong message to communicate to everyone, “Don’t Mess with Yordles”.

2. The dominance of Noxian Brothers

The pride of Noxian Army, Darius, and Draven overwhelmed the Wild Rift arena with their might. Draven showed his authority in Baron Lane and is infamous as the bully of the lane. He can deal damage and as well take some in return, making him an ideal pick in the ranked matches.

Darius on the other hand is the dramatic brother of Darius who excels in his axe throwing skills. He is played as an ADC on the dragon lane and deals hell lot of damage in the early game. He is a bit difficult to play considering his juggle axe throwing stat, but he has been favorite for players who like to play aggressive from the start of the game.

3. The fate of the Junglers

The junglers and ADC were the most popular picks during the last few months of the Wild Rift journey. But the scenario has shifted a little. Though ADC still has the same popularity, the role of a jungler has drop off. Though jungler is very much important for any team to take down dragons and baron, the ambush faced during the take downs has been disturbing the junglers.

Considering, the above reasons tank junglers are the new role most players are preferring. They can jungle effectively and also can gank for team fights. Shyvanna is the champion who has wreaked havoc when in her dragon form. The damage dealt is insane. And the quality of ambush she can provide during dragon stealing is the best in the game right now.

Amumu, the sad mummy has been a favorite pick for the jungler role. He carries some serious damage and with his binding abilities, can takedown champions single-handedly.

4. Attack Damage Carry

The tier list has seen some serious changes in the last few weeks. Where Darius has been the undisputed OP champion in this role, other champions have been nerfed and few are also buffed. Jhin was the most popular pick for the ADC role with his serious damage and annoying traps. He was a little too difficult to handle especially during the late games. But with the new nerf, his charms are gone, and is moved to a good ADC tier. The same goes with Ezreal, where he used to dominate the battlefield but stayed safe in the back. His range and skill cooldown have decreased making him a little weak as ADC.

Varus got buffed with movement speed and attacking damage output, making him the new choice for ADC. Miss Fortune has always shown charms with a crazy gameplay attitude and the insane damage dealt with the ultimate skill burst.

Final Thoughts

The Yordles certainly have come with a bang and without a doubt will dominate the early phase of the first rank season of the League of Legends: Wild Rift in every role. It would be fun to watch an entire team of Yordles fighting and winning matches. Wild Rift has also planned to launch few more champions in the next few weeks. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise to watch the new champion taking over the laning phase.

This is very much about the Wild Rift tier list after the release of patch 2.0. The tier list has made much consideration from the in-game changes that have been released with the patch notes. We hope the guide helps you a lot in your journey to emerald rank.
