Ricochet Squad is a 3v3 third-person shooter game from NICE PLANS STUDIO LTD. With extremely smooth gameplay and animations, the game’s progression system, with all 12 heroes and different missions, will give you a nice vibe while fighting. However, the progress you’re making depends on how you manage your currencies and where you’re spending them.
Whenever you’re about to upgrade a hero after unlocking it, building or upgrading a new item, weapon, ability, etc., you will need the in-game currencies. But the management of these currencies is super important to stay in the loop and ranking.
As I’ve been playing the game for the last couple of weeks, I think it’s high time I made this guide on Ricochet Squad currency, and I will also give some tips so that you know where to spend them.
If you’re new to this game, you can check our customer support guide and also the redeem code guide for any help.
List of Free currencies in Ricochet Squad
Like each game, this one provides free currencies, and you know that the most basic form of freebie is coins. You will earn it through regular matches. As you progress more in-game, the need for these coins will increase, but you can always get them from events, battles pass, etc. Let’s check out what the free currencies in Ricochet Squad are.
1. Coins
The game, so far, has four types of currencies, and this one is the most basic and most needed. You will get coins in the Rating section once you push your rating a bit. And the only way to push it is by completing daily and weekly tasks. Do not worry about the storyline; you will unlock their dialogues eventually.
Newbie Pass is another place you can get the coins from. This one is for F2P players, and you get them by using battle tokens. These battle tokens will be achieved through matches, and you can get items from the Newbie Pass page. Apart from coins, there are other items in the Newbie Pass.

And where to spend coins? The only place to spend coins is to upgrade your heroes. However, you will not be able to upgrade them with enough coins in inventory if you do not have the hero cards. So, gather both to upgrade your heroes.
2. Unicards/Hero Cards
Unicards are used to upgrade heroes in Ricochet Squad. Each hero contains a specific number of unicards before you can upgrade them. Your collection of Unicards won’t be affected each time you use it on a hero.

This means if you need 200 cards for Calibri and spend them on her, it won’t affect another hero like Magnus. He’ll have his Unicard section as before. So, the focus should be on earning more cards.
Unicards can be obtained by exchanging gems in the store. Besides, you will get it in Newbie Pass, Rating (Trophy Road), and for completing missions as well. This item should be used only in heroes that you pick the most.
List of Premium currencies in Ricochet Squad
There is only one premium currency in this game, and it is super important to have this stored so you can spend in need. I explained the process of earning it, and also where to spend to have the most efficiency.
1. Gems
The only premium currency in Ricochet Squad is Gems. You can claim some freebies as well for a particular task, like connecting your account, registering it, or even joining their social handles. Gems are also available in Newbie Pass, but only in a limited number. If you’re willing to spend some money in-game, you can get more Gems.

You have the option to buy Gems from the store. Sometimes, the game brings some package offers that you can also buy to receive Gems. But where to spend? Well, you can buy anything and do everything using the Gems. From coins to Hero Crads and even Hero Boxes, Perk Boxes can be bought using the gems.
If you’re eager to upgrade more and more things, and also want to get new heroes, you can buy gems. The free sources are limited and provide fewer gems.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, the game uses a simple yet powerful system of currency management. There aren’t many currencies inthe game, but each holds a value and is connected with other items, so there is a synchronisation among them. To ensure you have a smooth progression, use your money wisely and knock the enemies off!
