- Several Economy Changes and QoL updates will follow
Clash of Clans will be bringing a new feature-loaded update alongside the balance changes this September 2024. We have already received some amazing sneak peeks of what’s coming, so let us check in detail all the new additions and changes we have in store for us.
Clash of Clans September 2024 Update: All new features and changes explained
New Feature: Clan Notice Board and Search
One of the exciting new additions is the Clan Notice Board. Clan leaders can now customize messages to recruit new members or attract players who are searching for the clan of their choice. The Notice Board allows for background image customization and includes advanced matchmaking features to connect players with clans based on criteria like activity levels.
If you change the Language or Family-Friendly Clan Settings, the Clan Notice will be unpublished, meaning you’ll need to re-publish it afterward. You can still search for specific clans by name or Clan Tag and even join closed or invite-only clans directly through the notices, provided you meet the requirements.
New Feature: Supercharge!
The September update is bringing a brand-new feature to Clash of Clans called Supercharge. If you’ve maxed out your building upgrades, Supercharging lets you push your buildings even further. Available from Town Hall 16 and above, this optional feature allows buildings to receive extra buffs. These Supercharges are shorter, cost less, and offer smaller stat boosts compared to normal upgrades.
However, they are temporary, meaning when new building levels are released, the previous Supercharges will be depleted, and those buildings lose their buffs. Using your Builder, each building can be Supercharged up to three times, with each charge adding a powerful lightning effect.
New Feature: Treasure Hunt Event and Magic Snacks
In addition to Supercharges, the update introduces Magic Snacks during the upcoming September Treasure Hunt Event, in which the details are currently unknown. These temporary boosts, unlike Magic Items, expire within 24 hours, so you must use them quickly.
There are six Magic Snacks: Builder Bite, Study Soup, Mighty Morsel, Power Pancakes, Training Treat, and Clan Castle Cake. Each snack offers unique benefits, the details of which are given below.
- Builder Bite: Doubles Builder speed for 1 hour in the Home Village. The Builder’s Apprentice isn’t boosted though.
- Study Soup: Speeds up Laboratory research by 4x for 1 hour, only in the Home Village.
- Mighty Morsel: Temporarily boosts Heroes, Pets, and Equipment to the max level for your Town Hall for 3 battles in the Home Village.
- Power Pancakes: Boosts Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines to max level for your Town Hall for 3 battles in the Home Village.
- Training Treat: Instantly trains all Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines for 20 minutes or up to 10 battles.
- Clan Castle Cake: Provides free Reinforcements to your Clan Castle for 12 hours.
The items are stored in a dedicated space with a countdown timer, and if they’re close to expiring, you will get a reminder to use them before they disappear.
New Legendary Scenery: Clash of Dragons
Arriving at the game is the brand new Legendary Scenery: Clash of Dragons. This introduces large, highly detailed regions and elements never seen before in Clash of Clans. It includes special features like transition animations and custom-made cut scenes to make the scenery unique and exciting.
The team will also release a behind-the-scenes video to show how this cosmetic content was created. These legendary sceneries take much longer to create compared to the regular ones, so they’ll only be released occasionally. In terms of size, they are over six times larger than any previous scenery in the game.
Hard Mode Changes
The Hard Mode update includes adjustments to hero equipment levels and stats. Common Hero Equipment now has a level cap of 15, while Epic Hero Equipment is capped at 21. There are also balance tweaks, with the damage per second (DPS) of attacking heroes reduced by 5%, down from the previous -15%, and their health points (HP) reduced by 5%, from -10%. Defense buildings remain strong, with no change to their 5% DPS increase.
Economy Changes
Additionally, Economy Changes have been made, which means you will now have increased Dark Elixir rewards and raised the percentage of resources that can be looted from storages, making battles even more rewarding for you but also for the opponents attacking you. The September 2024 League Bonus Changes for the Dark Elixir rewards from the previous are given below.
