Conclusion
It was not surprising to see magic items appearing in the Pass Royale. The game needed a change, a good update. And it seems, with the introduction of magic items, Supercell is trying to bring in the much needed fresh perspective to the game that it is lacking for more than a year. However, we are hopeful that this change will be appreciated by the community, unlike the devastating Clan Wars 2 update which was not well-accepted by the clash royale community.

I understand. Pass Royale is supposed to give additional benefits to those who’ll buy, so that is fair I guess.
