DeNA and The Pokémon Company have announced that they will be renaming their subsidiary DeNA Digital Production to launch Pokemon Card D Studio in a bid to manage and promote the production of their new card game, Pokémon TCG Pocket, which is set to be released for both Android and iOS this year. The ownership composition in the new subsidiary will be 66.6% with DeNA and 33.4% with The Pokemon Company.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is scheduled for a release later this year for both Android and iOS
The new game, Pokémon TCG Pocket will be a collaboration between DeNA, The Pokémon Company, and Creatures Inc. Pokémon Trading Card Game Live is another Pokémon card game available in the stores, it will interesting to see whether Pokémon TCG Pocket will replace the game in the markets. The game, Pokémon TCG Pocket will be a free-to-play title that will award players 2x free boosters every day and will consist of special and unique Pokémon cards available only in the game.
The game will bank on immersive card battles which would players to take on different Pokémon trainers from around the world and engage in immersive quick card battles that will feature unique Pokémons on display. Immersive cards are a unique addition to the game and according to the makers will give players the experience of leaping into the world of the card illustration alongside streamlined game rules designed for quick battles.
With DeNA and The Pokémon Company announcing the launch of a separate subsidiary, Pokémon Card D Studio for the development of the game, it seems that both are focusing pretty well on the game’s success. DeNA has some good experience in producing hit Pokémon titles as it is the company behind Pokémon Master EX, a title that has been very popular since its release and only Pokémon GO has seen more success as compared. It will be interesting to see how the new subsidiary and the game will fare upon release.
Although the official release date is yet to be confirmed, the game is stated to launch sometime 2024
The release date for the game, Pokémon TCG Pocket has not yet been confirmed but it will be released in 2024 as per the makers. With the launch of Pokémon Card D Studio, it will be interesting to see how it will enhance the production of Pokémon TCG Pocket.
