- Aeon of Stars event introduces Infested Rifts, Dark Ascension dungeon, and StarCraft-inspired faction battles.
- Iconic StarCraft enemies like the Feral Hydralisk, Tal’Darim Templar, and Ascended Archon arrive in Sanctuary.
- Exclusive cosmetics, familiars, Legendary Gem Baneboil, and themed rewards will be available for a limited time.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new collaboration between its beloved ARPG, Diablo Immortal, and the legendary sci-fi series, StarCraft. Titled Aeon of Stars, this limited-time event will run from May 13 to June 10, 2026, bringing new boss fights, dungeon mutations, familiars, rewards, and more.
The Swarm invades Sanctuary with new gameplay modes in Diablo Immortal
So, the Aeon of Stars event transforms familiar areas into Zerg-infested zones, dangerous dungeon mutations, and large-scale battles inspired by StarCraft. Here, you’ll face off against corrupted enemies while exploring new crossover special activities.
Here are the main gameplay additions that you can look forward to:
- Infested Rifts filled with Zerg enemies.
- Dark Ascension dungeon with intense psionic attacks.
- Conqueror mode based on StarCraft factions.
- Weekly faction leaderboards.
Plus, during Infested Rifts, you’ll face off against the powerful Feral Hydralisk boss and use the special Psionic Storm abilities to damage enemies inside the area. I’m personally excited to battle the boss, though defeating him is another thing.
Fight the Tal’Darim and earn crossover rewards
The Aeon of Stars event introduces various special boss battles featuring iconic StarCraft enemies reimagined for Diablo Immortal combat. So, you can soon team up with four other players and challenge Tal’Darim Templar and Ascended Archons during the event duration.

And the Aeons of Stars event will come with four weeks of reward cycle, bringing:
- StarCraft-themed Avatar Frame.
- Baneboil 2-Star Legendary Gem.
- Queen of Blades Kerrigan-inspired Weapon Transmog.
You can also progress through the Koprulu Arsenal reward track by completing activities, defeating enemies, and clearing event dungeons, and earn the following rewards:
- Starcraft-inspired Portal and Stickers.
- Weapons Transmogs inspired by Kerrigan.
- Legendary Gear and Set Items with selectable affixes.
Diablo Immortal × StarCraft collab: New Legendary Gem
Like the DOOM Collab, this one also brings a new Legendary Gem inspired by the destructive nature of the Zerg, called the Baneboil. And, here are its abilities:

- You can summon Banelings after dealing damage.
- By exploding enemies, you spread corrosive acid effects.
- Plus, enemies will take more damage over time.
- You can obtain it through the Dark Ascension dungeon.
Diablo Immortal × StarCraft collab: Cosmetics and Familiars
Alongside the gameplay and new gem, the crossover also brings themed cosmetics and familiars inspired by the StarCraft universe. And here are the key additions:

- You can cop the Queen of Blades Phantom Market cosmetic set and become the Swarm Monarch.
- Immortal Familiar skin inspired by the Protoss.
- Zergling Familiar skin with powerful combat effects.
I personally want to get the Zergling Familiar, since it not only looks iconic, but also lets you use portable skills without cooldown.
Diablo Immortal × StarCraft collab: Special Conqueror mode
Like the previous Slayer’s Bane mode in the DOOM collab, this one introduces a unique version of Conqueror mode, where you can pick StarCraft-inspired factions and gain powers during your matches. And here are the faction abilities:
- Stim Pack (Terran): This boosts your movement and attack speed.
- Poison (Zerg): This one adds poison projectiles to your attacks for a limited time to deal damage over time.
- Shields (Protoss): Lastly, with this one, you’ll gain a temporary protective barrier.
Moreover, only orbs tied to your selected faction will appear during your match, and Conqueror mode will also have a weekly faction-based leaderboard.
Additionally, the devs are also introducing a permanent quality-of-life improvement.
- Everyone will now have access to all eight gear slots.
- And, if you don’t have the final two slots, the default gear will be automatically equipped in those slots.
