Musiala joins Bellingham as the game’s joint cover stars
Ahead of the next season, EA has announced that Jamal Musiala joins his friend Jude Bellingham for the joint cover athletes for EA Sports FC Mobile. While Musiala makes his first appearance as the game’s cover, Bellingham continues from his stint from the previous season.
Both young English midfielders have already made a name for themselves in the world’s game for their respective clubs and countries. Previously, to commemorate the occasion of the new cover stars for FC Mobile, EA had rewarded everyone with free 102 OVR Moments Player Items of both players as well.
After the latest 25/26 season update, Jamal Musiala and Jude Bellingham will be the game’s face and icon every time you upload the app. Already becoming a fan-favorite, it is yet to be seen how they fare as the new cover of FC Mobile.
Carry over your team to the new Season without the fear of a Reset
No Season Reset
As revealed previously, EA has once again assured that players can continue building their squads with their favorite players without having the fear of an impending reset. Yes, there will be no season reset this year, allowing you to continue building on your current team’s progress and achievements.
This is the second time in the history of FC Mobile, after the last season, that we will be moving to a new season without the annual reset. And probably this is going to be the new norm! Therefore, with the new season update, you will continue to retain your current team, all the players from your inventory, along with all of your in-game resources!
Yes, you will have all of your Coins, Gems, FC Points, and Training Transfer Points moving forward to FC Mobile 26.
Player OVRs going to 113 and above
Besides the season reset not happening, there is another significant piece of news as well. Player OVRs will go up to 113, yes, very soon, starting with the Anniversary event arriving on Thursday reset.

Therefore, with upcoming events, we can expect player OVRs to go beyond 113 OVR, and very soon, the current 108-109 OVR players will become redundant as players with a higher overall will have better stats and a higher training level ceiling. This could also be a bane, as higher-rated players will only enlarge the gulf between pay-to-play and free-to-play players.
Introducing a fresh batch of Icons and Heroes
A new season always implies the arrival of new Icons and Heroes, and FC Mobile 26 is no different! EA had revealed that the former Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović is arriving as the game’s next cover star for the console versions. Besides Zlatan, nine other Icons, including Toni Kroos, Andrés Iniesta, Dunga, Oliver Kahn, Marcelo, Giorgio Chiellini, and Francesco Totti, are set to appear in FC Mobile 26!
And 7 new Heroes have also been confirmed to arrive soon in FC Mobile!

Introducing Team Badges
Team Badges is a new introduction in the game to further enhance your main squad. Collect and equip Team Badges to earn additional OVR and attribute boosts for your team. The higher the Team badge level, the greater the attribute boosts you will receive.

Strategically fill badge slots in your lineup, track your collection progress, and earn extra season rewards by completing badge sets or player collections. Additionally, you can complete player groups to earn group rewards and further attribute boosts.
You will get Team Badges by collecting specific Player Items from the same event and club in your inventory. Team Badges replaces the earlier Team Chemistry mechanic, where you will need players playing for the same club and from the same event to get a specific attribute boost for your selected players based on their positions.
New Rank Up Points will be replacing Universal Rank Players
The entire Rank up system is undergoing a major revamp! Universal Rank Players (both Dudek and Mascherano) are getting replaced with a new currency, Rank Up Points! Ranking up will still only increase your Player’s OVR and not its stats, which still depend on player training.
It will require at least 100 Rank Up Points to rank up a player. Oh, and no worries, you are not losing value on your Mascheranos. There will be an exchange to trade in your excess Mascheranos for the new Rank Up Points.
Train and Level up your Players fully without Ranking them up
Additionally, with this change, Training levels are no longer connected to Ranks. Hence, you can freely train a player to Level 30 without fully maxing his Rank. Do remember, training will increase the player’s stats and attributes while keeping his base OVR the same.
Revamped Matchmaking Lobby
With the new season of FC Mobile, the game has introduced a new Matchmaking lobby for PvP Division Rivals matches! After getting matched with your opponent in Division Rivals, you will now see both your captain and your opponent’s captain stand face-to-face in their respective kits in a new pre-match lobby.

Additionally, the lobby showcases your Division status and offers a more immersive matchday atmosphere to every game. Now polish your skills and get ready for an engaging football experience! You can now choose to play either in your home or away Kits to avoid kit clashing, and the match will begin only when both players hit the Ready button!
Gameplay Enhancements
Based on the community feedback over the last few months, EA is bringing major gameplay tweaks in the season update. Starting with the improvement of the Referee mechanics. Yes, now the Referee will be more impartial and can detect tactical fouls better, and enhance your gameplay. Additionally, making skill moves on defenders won’t guarantee a foul for the opposition, reflecting the physical nature of the game.

Lofted Through Passes have been nerfed and balanced to reach your desired player on the run with only the perfect and precise lob. Hence, you can’t exploit the Kickoff Rush lofted pass anymore to score a quick goal! Jog Dribbling has been made faster and more agile, while Crossing has also been worked on to work with Header accuracy, so that your cross-spams now actually work better with smart crosses.
Ground Passes have been enhanced, and now there will be fewer issues while controlling the ball when you receive the ball towards the goal in Division Rivals matches. Additionally, there are now new match intros during kickoff and halftime intervals, with new celebrations introduced to celebrate your goals better.
That’s all for the FC Mobile 26 season update! The devs at EA will continue to look forward to player feedback to further balance and improve gameplay.
