- FC Mobile becomes the official partner of the upcoming Ballon d'Or 2024 ceremony

In a recently concluded update livestream from FC Mobile Japan, the Japan-exclusive localized version of Electronic Art’s FC Mobile from Nexon, the devs announced that FC Mobile has become the official partner for the upcoming Ballon d’Or 2024 with an event coming to the game next week on October 24th.
The Ballon d’Or is one of the most prestigious individual awards in football, given to the best footballer of the previous season. Currently, Real Madrid stalwarts Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham, who have been FC Mobile’s cover stars past and present, are the frontrunners for the award this year. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 28th.

The Ballon d’Or event is set to feature players who have won or been nominated in the past and present
With the new partnership, the devs have also announced a new Ballon d’Or 2024 event would be arriving in FC Mobile on October 24. The event is set to bring all the 30 nominees from the current ceremony to the game along with possibly a few Icons and Heroes who have been featured on the podium during their careers.
Besides that, we may also see the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo arriving at the event who had bagged the prestigious award for the most number of times. Additionally, at the live stream, it was also discussed that the event could be a grand one, similar to the likes of some fan-favorite annual events including Team of the Season (TOTS) and Team of the Year (TOTY).
With Ballon d’Or getting featured as an event for the first time in FC Mobile, fans and players can certainly expect big things! However, it should be noted, that the event has only been confirmed to arrive in Nexon’s Asia-specific versions of FC Mobile Korea and Japan with no news of the promo coming to the global version.
Although Nexon FC Mobile Korea and Japan have had exclusive events in the past, with FC Mobile becoming the official partner for the Ballon d’Or 2024 ceremony, it can be expected that the global version will at least bring a mini-event for its worldwide players.
