Well, the wait for the new season is finally over as KONAMI’s eFootball 2024 has announced the next iteration of the game. In mid-September, eFootball 2024 will be getting a Season Update to v4.0.0, bringing several significant changes and improvements.
eFootball 2024 will be renamed to eFootball with the upcoming v4.0.0 update
Due to changes in licenses and available content, some players and managers might become unavailable after the update. These unavailable players and managers cannot participate in matches, but you can still earn GP and items by releasing them. The players and managers scheduled to become unavailable will have their status changed during the v4.2.0 update, which is planned for Winter 2024.
You can check which players and managers are scheduled to become unavailable inside the game after the v4.0.0 update goes live. Most of the things will be carried over as expected, and for the same, I will come up with a guide to help you in that regard soon. Additionally, My League progress and points will be reset with the v4.0.0 update.
Now, as mentioned previously, Contract Renewals will also change. Each Contract Renewal (60 Days) you own will be converted into one Chance Deal, allowing you to randomly sign a player from a box containing 100 previously released Epic and Highlight players.
Similarly, every six Contract Renewal (10 Days) you own will be converted into one Chance Deal. Even if you have fewer than the required number of Contract Renewals (10 Days), they will still be converted into a Chance Deal.
From the announcement, it is pretty clear that they won’t carry the year in the title, where this change is a surprising one. So instead of eFootball 2024 or in the future, eFootball 2025, the game after the Season Update will be called eFootball v4.0.0. The date of release hasn’t been given, so keep an eye on updates.
