Genshin Impact version 3.5 will go live once the server maintenance is over. The server maintenance begins at 06:00 (UTC+8) on 1st March 2023 and is estimated to take 5 hours. Players will be able to pull on the character and weapon banners once 3.5 goes live. The banners will be available til 21st March 2023 17:59 server time. The version 3.5 Phase 1 banners will feature one new 5* character and one new 5* weapon in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact version 3.5 Phase I first character banner: Auric Blaze
This banner is the debut of the new 5* character “Flame-Mane” Dehya (pyro/claymore). She is one of the most popular characters from the Sumeru Archon Quest and many players have been waiting for her to become playable ever since her design was leaked before version 3.0. “Flame-Mane” Dehya will receive a huge drop rate boost during this banner.
Dehya will be accompanied by “Trial By Fire” Bennett (pyro/sword), “Shining Idol” Barbara (hydro/catalyst), and “Sprout Of Rebirth” Collei (dendro/bow). All of them will receive a huge drop rate boost. These characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates. Among these, Barbara and Collei are literally given for free to every player. Dehya will be added to the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation starting from version 3.6 and she will not be an event-exclusive character.
Genshin Impact version 3.5 Phase I second character banner: Twilight Arbiter
This banner is the first rerun of “Judicator Of Secrets” Cyno (electro/polearm) ever since his release back in version 3.1. At release, Cyno’s performance seemed lackluster, but his performance greatly improves when he is paired up with the Dendro Archon Nahida who was released in version 3.2. “Judicator Of Secrets” Cyno will receive a huge drop rate boost during this banner.
Cyno will be accompanied by “Trial By Fire” Bennett (pyro/sword), “Shining Idol” Barbara (hydro/catalyst), and “Sprout Of Rebirth” Collei (dendro/bow). Genshin Impact version 3.5 Phase I Weapon Banner: Epitome Invocation
This banner features the debut of Beacon of the Reed Sea (claymore)and the rerun of Staff of the Scarlet Sands (polearm). These 5* weapons are the signature best-in-slot gear for Dehya and Cyno respectively.
The featured 4* weapons on this banner are the event-exclusive The Alley Flash (sword) and Alley Hunter (bow), as well as Sacrificial Greatsword (claymore), Dragon’s Bane (polearm), and Eye of Perception (catalyst). Sacrificial Greatsword (claymore), Dragon’s Bane (polearm), and Eye of Perception (catalyst) are permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Final thoughts
From the leaked information about Dehya’s kit, most players are concerned about her effectiveness in a team. Players are advised to wait for a proper analysis of her kit before pulling for her. Compared to version 3.1, now is a much better time to pull for Cyno since many players already have his best teammate, Nahida. Other than the release of Nahida, nothing much has changed about Cyno.
As for the 5* weapons, Beacon of the Reed Sea seems like a pretty decent option for Diluc and Eula. Staff of the Scarlet Sands is an amazing weapon for Hu Tao and Xiangling. Among the 4* weapons, Dragon’s Bane is a pretty good weapon for Hu Tao and Xiangling.
