Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Phase 2 banners will go live on the 19th of September, 2024 at 18:00 server time, and will last till the 8th of October, 2024 at 14:59 server time. The Version 5.0 Phase 2 banners will feature one new 5* character and one new 5* weapon.
Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Phase 2 First character banner: Sharktacular Surfari
This banner features the debut of the event-exclusive 5* character “Turnfire Hunt” Kinich (dendro/claymore).
Kinich will be accompanied by the 4* characters “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), “Crowfeather Kaburaya” Kujou Sara (electro/bow), and “Executor of Justice” Chevreuse (pyro/polearm) who will receive a huge drop-rate boost. All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Phase 2 Second Character banner: Leaves in the Wind
This banner features the fourth rerun of “Plane of Euthymia” Raiden Shogun (electro/polearm) since her release back in Version 2.1.
Raiden Shogun will be accompanied by the 4* characters “Protector From Afar” Thoma (pyro/polearm), “Crowfeather Kaburaya” Kujou Sara (electro/bow), and “Executor of Justice” Chevreuse (pyro/polearm) who will receive a huge drop-rate boost. All of these 4* characters are also permanently available in the Standard Wish – Wanderlust Invocation without any boosted drop rates.
Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Phase 2 Weapon banner: Epitome Invocation
This banner introduces the new 5* weapon Fang of the Mountain King (claymore) which is the signature weapon for Kinich. This banner also features the rerun of Engulfing Lightning (polearm), the signature and best-in-slot weapon for a DPS build Raiden Shogun.
This banner also features the 4-star weapons Sacrificial Sword (sword), Rainslasher (claymore), Favonius Lance (polearm), The Widsith (catalyst), and Sacrificial Bow (bow) all of them will receive a huge drop-rate boost.

Why you should go for Kinich or Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact Version 5.0
Opinion on character banners
Kinich is a new character who brings new gameplay to the table. Wait for a few days and test him out to see if you like his playstyle before deciding to pull for him. Raiden Shogun used to be one of the best DPS in the roster, but nowadays her best usage is as an EM build Hyperbloom triggering Electro unit. It is worth pulling her since she also gives an Elemental Burst DMG bonus to all teammates. However, it is not worth playing her as a main DPS these days.
Opinion on weapon banners
As for the 4* characters, Thoma is great as a Burgeon triggering Pyro unit, Sara is great at buffing Electro main DPS such as Clorinde, and Chevreuse is great at buffing Overload teams. All three of them excel at certain niche uses. Pull for them if you need them.
Among the 5* weapons, Fang of the Mountain King is going to be the best weapon for Kinich, pull for it if you want. Engulfing Lightning is the best choice for a DPS build Raiden Shogun, but since DPS Raiden is not worth it nowadays, there are very few characters who can take advantage of it and Xiangling is one of them.
As for the 4* weapons, all of them except Rainslasher are good for support characters.
