The latest title in the Metal Slug franchise, Metal Slug: Awakening is now available as an Open Beta for players and fans in Southeast Asia. Metal Slug: Awakening will be available on both Android and iOS. Announced initially way back in 2021, the game had earlier conducted two successful alpha tests in the regions of the Philippines and Indonesia.

Metal Slug: Awakening will most definitely be aiming to replicate the same success that the previous titles in the series saw, which helped the Metal Slug franchise become a success in the first place. The game, Metal Slug: Awakening will bring many features of previous titles in the new game together but with a visual overhaul with the fans being able to experience identical gameplay with some unique and important updates to give players a better gaming experience.
As stated before, the game will try and bank on the elements of the franchise and hence there will be plenty of maps in the game from previous franchises for the players to play in, the game will include the nostalgic pyramid, desert, mine, and many more maps to make the players stay connected to the roots of the franchise.
Besides this, the game will feature many more unique game modes for the players to enjoy, like world exploration, where players will team up with three characters of their choice and take on the adventure that the game holds for them. There will be plenty of characters and weapons for the players to go through giving them more content in the game.
The game marks a comeback for the series which is loved and has been much awaited for a comeback. As stated before, the game is now available as an open beta in Southeast Asia and will be made available for players and fans from the respective stores. There is no information as of now regarding an official release. Interested players from the SEA regions can access the game via Google Play and Apple Stores.
