VNG Games has announced that Metal Slug: Awakening, the latest release in the series Metal Slug will now be having its closed beta testing based on first come, first serve for Android and PC. This comes after the second Alpha Test phase in the Philippines and Indonesia in early 2023.

Metal Slug: Awakening aims to replicate the same success that the previous titles in the series saw, which helped the Metal Slug franchise become a success in the first place. Metal Slug: Awakening will bring many features of previous titles in the new game together but with a visual overhaul with the fans being able to experience identical gameplay with some unique updates to give players a better gaming experience.
The game had a fairly successful first alpha test back in July 2022, this second phase is a sign that the game is getting responses in numbers expected by the developers and will soon be gearing toward a global release since the game is already out as an official launch in the SEA region last year for both Android and iOS.
The game was announced for mobiles back in 2021, since then the fans of the game have appreciated the concept of the game and have responded back in numbers making the previous alpha tests successful. As far as the current CBT is concerned, the game likely has only limited slots available on a first-account-created, first-served basis, with the regions currently not being mentioned.
The closed beta tests will be available to be accessed only via Android devices through Google Play Store. The tests will kick off on March 28, 2024, and will go on until April 10, 2024. No need to register, just go ahead and download the game. The iOS version closed beta details are not out yet, so stay tuned for announcements.
