After a series of Open Qualifiers and Challenge Group Stage across 4 regions of Southeast Asia, the organizers at ESL saw the big match of Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 SEA, a face-off between the two Indonesian superpowers of ONIC Esports and Bigetron Alpha. The current Mobile Legends MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2023 champions, ONIC Esports defeated Bigetron Alpha by a huge 4-0 margin, clinching their second international title of the year. Mobile Legends Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3: ONIC Esports and its champions run
ONIC was not the top seed coming in from the group stage, but they never once dropped a single series in the playoffs. Getting a total of US $65,000, ONIC Esports is going through a wonderful season, sweeping trophies across the whole Esports circuit.
ONIC Esports had defeated Red Giants Esports, RSG Philippines in the Upper-bracket Quarter-finals and Upper-bracket Semi-finals by a straight 2-0 margin. They faced off the Challenge Season Group Stage topper, AP Bren in the Upper-final of the tournament, which they won with a margin of 3-2. They went against Bigetron Alpha in the finals.
Bigetron Alpha had a good game against AP Bren who they defeated 3-0 in the Lower Final, but ONIC never gave them a chance to come back at any stage in the final. Along with a good start, they topped it off with solid performances from their players, Kairi and CW. The victory was not so far, as it finished 4-0.
Final Thoughts
The victory has given the organization a big boost, before starting off its campaign in MPL-ID Season 12. The tournament will begin on the 27th of July, 2023, and a win for ONIC will give them the elusive 3rd international title of the year.
