PUBG Mobile or BGMI to stop players from putting numbers in the Nicknames in the future updates

Dev Talk- Part 2 replies to a lot of important questions, one of them being the Nicknames issue

PUBG MOBILE or BGMI has recently released part 2 of their Dev Talk social event on their official site which has been conducted in various countries. In this issue of Dev Talk, the developers made deep discussions about the Chat system, Clans, and the Cheer Park, and the developers answered players’ astute questions about security, gameplay, etc., very seriously. This time they even discussed the PUBG Mobile nickname issue and promised to provide a solution for it.

The developers have also quickly prepared an improvement plan based on everyone’s comments during the event. They have even informed us that many of the features they are concerned about will be released in the near future.

Developers finally paying attention to the PUBG Mobile nickname issue

Many questions were asked to the developers, one of which was whether is it possible to prohibit players from using players’ IDS as their nicknames because some of the players use other players’ IDs as their nicknames with a pornographic avatar so that they can blackmail them. This is a very serious issue and luckily the developers have paid attention to it.

The developers replied to the question by saying that this has also been a problem that has been bothering them. They informed that in September of last year during the BLACKPINK collaboration, some of the players registered their accounts with the ID of 4 members, which resulted in confusion, and some gifts were sent to the wrong players.

Players will no longer be able to keep only numbers in their nicknames

Initially, for a quick and easy solution, the developers forcefully changed the account names of those players forcefully via the system. They even created 4 new accounts with nicknames and wrote: “I’m not this person” in the avatars of the players. Even the developers themselves have admitted that this was indeed a quite funny incident but was also very embarrassing.

So to prevent this from happening further in the future, they have decided to not allow the players to have a nickname that only consists of numbers in the newest version of the game.
