- Rust Mobile’s regional open beta begins this July for players in Hong Kong and Macao.
- The beta requires no invite code or activation key to participate.
- All progress and player data will be wiped once the beta test concludes.
Level Infinite has announced to launch a regional open beta test of the highly anticipated action survival title, Rust Mobile, on Android in Hong Kong and Macao on July 9, 2026. Previously known as Codename Outpost name, the game went through multiple tests, like an Alpha Test in Canada in 2025 and a CBT in China, along with a few delays to improve stability.
Get ready to build, craft, and raid your way to survival on Rust Mobile
So, you must know that Rust is gearing up to arrive on mobile. But if you don’t know, Rust Mobile is the official adaptation of the popular PC title, officially licensed by Facepunch Studios. And I’m quite jealous, as this July, players from Hong Kong and Macau will get a chance to dive into its brutal survival experience and try surviving on the dangerous island teeming with wildlife, other survivors, environmental dangers, and more.
Gameplay-wise, you start with nothing and spend your time collecting resources, building a shelter, crafting weapons, and exploring the mysterious island. You can enjoy the wildlife, hunting predators like bears and such, and gradually progress while dealing with other players who may or may not be friendly. You can look forward to raiding, survival management, and PvP chaos.
Now, you should wait for this open beta, since no activation keys or invitation codes are required to join. However, you should know that this is a data wipe test, so your player data, character progress, and everything will vanish once the test is over. Once live, you can get the game via Google Play Store, TapTap, or even the official website. I believe the earlier China launch information for July was regarding this regional test.
