During their recent 2nd quarter earnings call, Netmarble revealed their plans for a sequel to Seven Knights, their strategy RPG title. Seven Knights II is going to get a global release (excluding Korea, where it is already available, China and Vietnam) in the second half of this year and the development is being spearheaded by Netmarble Nexus, who is also responsible for work on Seven Knights Revolution, a game exclusive to Korea and Japan.
Seven Knights II brings impressive gameplay and graphics
Seven Knights II is already out for South Korea since November 2020 and was available since its announcement and 2018 beta release. The game is set 20 years ahead of its predecessor in terms of the storyline. It looks pretty good and has been created through Unreal Engine 4 while in terms of gameplay, one can play as the four characters in their team and can swap between them (the AI takes over the other characters).
For those who don’t know, Seven Knights is a strategy RPG game with PvP action released back in 2015 for iOS and Android.
The original Seven Knights game has over 10 million downloads on the Play Store and has mostly positive feedback. Netmarble has been working on mobile games for a while now and Seven Knights II has done quite well in South Korea.
When can players expect the release of Seven Knights II
While there’s isn’t a specific date yet, the game is supposed to come out in the second half of this year on both iOS and Android. It is definitely a game that RPG and Seven Knight fans want to look out for.
