Squad Busters from Supercell has introduced yet another fantastic update that is bringing a lot to the players this September of 2024. One of the talking points would be the Transformers collaboration, which brings the robot factions to the game with the fun twist of Squad Busters gameplay. Alongside, we also have new characters, new skins, and more features coming which I will explain in this article.

Squad Busters September 2024 Update: All new features explained
The latest Squad UPdate, or “Squapdate,” as they would like to call it, has a lot of new things arriving. But before that, let me give you an overview of what features have been removed from the game.
Transformers collaboration
The update would feature the Transformers collaboration that brings many additions, events, and freebies to the game. The collaboration trailer launched by Squad Busters gives out the necessary details beforehand for the same, but still, the update was able to surprise us with a lot of new stuff.
New Characters and Skins
Two new Transformer characters are coming: a male Transformer and a female Transformer, namely Optimus Prime and Elita-1. These are not just skins, but fully playable, permanent characters. You need to collect Energon during battles and progress through the event to unlock Optimus Prime in the first week and Elita-1 in the second week.
They will have three different versions, Baby, Classic, and Super. You unlock the Baby first. As you continue to collect Energon, you’ll also be able to unlock their Classic and Super forms. The Transformers event will run for two weeks, starting on September 16th and will end on September 30th, 2024. Special robot skins will be available in the shop to complement the arrival of these iconic characters.
Exclusive Battle Mod: Unicron Attacks
To make things even more action-packed, the update introduces a new battle mod called Unicron Attacks, where you face off against infamous bosses. This exclusive mod will only be available during the Transformers event. Though the event is limited, Optimus Prime, Elita-1, and the robot skins will return to the shop later, giving you a chance to pick them up after the event ends.
Star Chest and Ultimate Evolutions
The update also introduces the Star Chest, which offers top-tier rewards like new characters or Super, Ultra, and Ultimate forms of characters you already own. To open a Star Chest, you’ll need to collect Star Keys, which can be earned by gathering Star Tokens through evolving characters or participating in events.
To celebrate this new feature, Squad Busters is giving away 10 Star Chests to players logging in on Monday, with a guaranteed Ultra character inside and a chance to get an Ultimate if you’re lucky.
In addition to new characters, all characters from the Green World will be getting their Ultimate Evolutions, noted as a 5-Star character. Each Ultimate form comes with a powerful new ability and an exclusive Ultimate skin.
Other Improvements
Other gameplay tweaks and improvements including Crystal Forest, Timeout, and Hatchling Herder have been rebalanced to provide a more exciting experience. Leon’s invisibility has been reworked to be more user-friendly, and a new Refresh option has been added to Lucky Finds, allowing for better item selection.
For the future, starting October 1st, a new season Graveyard Shift is coming with a bunch of haunted-themed Skins, which look spooky. In addition, a new World will be coming soon, with the details related to it currently unknown.
