With the rise of mobile gaming, every big franchise is targeting this booming market. Mobile titles of hit PC and console games like Call of Duty, Fortnite have paved the way for even more developers to expand their games to the mobile audience. The latest addition to the list of hit PC/Console games coming to mobile is World of Warships: Legends.
World of Warships: Legends, the popular title belonging to the ‘World of‘ series published and developed by Wargaming released in 2019 on Xbox and Playstation is being ported to mobile with cross-platform support.
World Of Warships: Legends – Enjoy a naval tactical shooting experience on mobile
World of Warships: Legends is an action-packed and fast-paced 9v9 naval combat and tactical shooting game. It boasts of over 150 naval fleets and follows a freemium model.
Wargaming has previous mobile game development experience as they have multiple games on mobile like World of Tanks and World of Warships: Blitz. World of Warships: Legends shares the development of the console version, Wargaming St Petersburg. While porting the game to mobile, the developer’s focus will be optimizing the controls to touch screen devices.

The vision of the developer is to make the mobile version a way for the console players to engage in daily content even when they are not able to play on the console and bring new players as well. According to the developers, some players wanted a way to check on the progress when away from their consoles which is one of the reasons why Wargaming has decided to make a mobile port.
In the test phase, cross-platform progression will not be available but in the future, the developers plan to add the feature for seamless integration whenever players want to engage in naval combat.
WoW: Legends Beta access and system requirements
The recommended devices are iPhone 8/iPad Air (2019 3rd Gen) and above, iOS 14.8+. While on the Android side of things devices with Android version 10 and above with at least 3 GB RAM are recommended with Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer devices being the best suited for performance. The requirements may come down in the future with game optimization.
Currently the multiplayer is being beta tested in Canada for Android and some select users on iOS. The beta testing phase is part of Wargaming’s preliminary test and will have some features cut out from the console version. For the time being, content from only three nations will be available to the player, that is commanders, ships, and pioneers of only these regions will be available as playable content. The studio plans to add more content as time progresses and make the mobile version have all the capabilities from the console.

When will World Of Warships: Legends globally release
World of Warships: Legends is yet to announce the release date on the App Store and Google Play. According to the announcement the developers are looking to see the feedback from the player base during the testing phase and will later decide the fate and release date of the game based on that.
