Gameplay Overview

Dust Lands is a primary strategy war game that takes place after the apocalypse. The apocalypse destroyed human civilization and converted a flourished world into a Wasteland. You as well as the other players are presented with a compelling storyline and dialogue options throughout the game. Firstly, the game takes you through a tutorial run where you see the lethal conditions of an underground bunker. Your goal is to revive the bunker and make it habitable for the survivors of the mutant catastrophe.

Now let’s talk about Dust Lands’ gameplay. It is recommended that you embark on pre-planned missions within the game to take on various monsters scattered around the world and defeat them to ensure your survival. You need to form a team of three heroes to carry out the campaigns. The team advances for their next campaign after each one is won.

Regarding the development of the bunker, you are given a bunker, like any other player of Dust Lands. The bunker headquarters serves as the main unit of the underground survival ground with other significant buildings such research centre, hospital, barracks, food factory, and others, standing along with the main structure. The activities related to the buildings and the gameplay contribute to the improvement of the bunker.

Before engaging in combat, you must assemble a team of Heroes whose strength overpowers the enemies’ power. No army is required and only the heroes are directly involved. The mutants keep on approaching one after the other. When the energy bar is full, the hero icon will light up, and you can click on it to release the hero’s skill. If you are bothered by the extra work, you can always set it on Auto so that the skill attack releases as soon as the bar achieves enough energy. Thus, make use of the additional features and emerge victorious in campaigns.

Introducing the Basics of Dust Land

The Game Modes

You can search for resources that include steel, food, water, and oil as well as for the mutant monsters to clear out the wasteland from potential dangers.

The Campaign is a section where battles against mutant monsters are initiated in the form of stages. The stage rewards can be claimed after clearing the stage for the first time. Rewards are corresponding to a star rating of 1 to 3 stars for clearing the Lifepipe Hub stage.

Dust Lands Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Complete the Chapter Tasks

Here the story unfolds in the form of chapters where to move to your next one, you need to complete all the tasks assigned to you. Each task you complete will grant you rewards such as steel and food. These serve as the basic resources that are required in the development and survival of the bunker as well as the survivors. On completing the chapter, you also get chapter clearance rewards including currencies that further occupy other activities in the game.

2. Level up your Heroes

Heroes are one of the important aspects of Dust Lands. Every battle against the mutant monsters can be carried out with the help of heroes. There are a total of four classes of heroes and each has their role in a battle. However, depending on the same level of heroes for a higher level of enemies can result in your failure. Hence, it is important to upgrade your heroes. This increases their overall stats and a push in their tier unlocks other significant skills used in battles.

3. Keep Training your Soldiers

When targeting enemies through the world map, you will witness monsters with different levels. They can have a total strength that is greater than your team of heroes. You will need a large number of allies to assist you against the mutant. This is where the soldiers come into play. Training your soldiers and troop units ensures your victory over higher calibers of monsters. The only point to keep in mind is that the total power of your team must be greater than that of your enemy.

4. Don’t miss out on the Alliance Activities

After a certain point in the game, you get a chance to join or create an alliance. While creating one automatically holds the ultimate power as well as responsibilities, you can always join an alliance when you fulfill their recruitment criteria if any. The Alliance activities majorly contribute to your progress and it is pivotal to take part in activities such as assisting other members with their bunker tasks and contributing some items to the technological advancement of your alliance.

5. Gather Scattered Resources

In the bunker, you find resources such as steel and food scattered around on the land. It is always wise to collect and you might even be lucky to gather some currency. This covers up the resources you require to construct an important structure within the bunker. The food is without any doubt necessary for the functioning of the survivors and heroes living underground. You can always search for the resources through the map and send forces to gather and stock them in your bag.

Final Thoughts

Dust Lands is a basic post-apocalyptic strategy game with an added touch of dangers that must be driven out to survive in the new world. The heroes and resources help establish the healthy progress of the bunker. The features such as alliance and others also uplift the spirit of livelihood in a hopeless land.
