FC Mobile 25 Captains Event Flow
Main
As has been the case this season, the first tab, the Main Tab, in this case, acts as a guide to the other chapters and the overall event. It’s not functional and redirects to other tabs, including the Captains Quests, Challenge Mode, Exchanges, and Store Offers.
Besides, the Main tab showcases the four new Icons introduced to FC Mobile as a part of this event, namely: Francesco Totti, Andrés Iniesta, Giorgio Chiellini, and Dunga, highlighting their careers as they lead their respective clubs and countries to glory.
Each Captain or Icon has their specific chapters being unlocked weekly. The first three Captain Player Items, ie, Francesco Totti, Andrés Iniesta, and Giorgio Chiellini, will all be released as 107 OVR Player Items for their respective positions, having Live OVR conditions!
Yes, based on certain conditions on how their clubs or national team perform over the next four weeks, the players will receive OVR upgrades up to 4 or 5 OVRs, ie, rising as high as 112 OVRs! Therefore, the Main tab is the place to easily navigate to different game modes where you can earn Rewards related to the event.
Captain-specific Chapters
As stated previously, each of the four Icon Captains, Francesco Totti, Andrés Iniesta, Giorgio Chiellini, and Dunga, will have their own specific chapters, with Francesco Totti being unlocked in the first week. You will log in each day in the Captain-specific Chapters and play through a series of two repeatable Skill Games, one Star Skill Game, and one PvE Match to earn Captains Tokens every day.
The two repeatable Skill Games can be repeated five times each, while you can retry playing the Star Skill Game if you want to get the full three Stars and get the maximum amount of Captains Tokens. The PvE Matches take you back in time and play through the Icon Captain’s career for either his club or country.
Completing the Skill Games and the Match daily for the next seven days will reward you with the Captain’s Armband and his Logo. Complete Skill Games and Iconic Matches of the Captain and collect his Captain Armband and User Logo.
Additionally, there is a set of Weekly Quests as well, offering Gems, Coins, Training Transfer Points, Captains Tokens, Captains Shards, and even Universal Rank Player – Mascherano every week. These Quests are fairly simple and involve you scoring a certain number of goals, making tackles, and so on.
The Captains, as previously stated, come with Live OVR conditions, with their individual Live OVR trackers present in this tab as well. Based on certain conditions on how their clubs or national team perform, the players will receive OVR upgrades up to 4 or 5 OVRs, ie, rising as high as 112 OVRs!
Rewards
Next, you will be spending your hard-earned Captains Tokens in the Rewards chapter. You will be using your Captains Tokens to unlock rewards from the Recruit Your Team Reward Path. Spend your Captains Tokens to claim rewards on the Reward Path from the Recruit Your Team section.
First off, as stated previously, you can claim any one of the three 107 OVR Captains Player Items, ie, Francesco Totti, Andrés Iniesta, and Giorgio Chiellini, for 1500 Captains Tokens from the Rewards Tab. Since you have the entire event to claim your desired player, wait as the player receives their maximum Live OVR upgrades to get the highest OVR player possible.
There’s a separate Reward Path for each of the four featured Captains, unlocked weekly, with Team Totti being open now initially. These rewards include Gems, Coins, Training Transfer Points, Players, Captains Shards, and even Universal Rank Player – Mascheranos. Progress down the Reward Path using your Captains Tokens to unlock rewards.
Use your Captains Tokens to claim a reward from the reward path. Additionally, some of the Reward Paths have a special Buff reward as well at the end of the path, with the Team Totti Buff offering a 5% discount on the Player Shard requirements on the Gallery chapter.
There’s a Great Armband Collector section as well, which is just on the right-hand side of the Recruit Your Team section. Complete each Captain’s chapter and collect his armband, or spend your Captains Tokens to get them right away! Each of the Armbands requires 1000 Captains Tokens each, should you want them straightaway!
You can easily get each of the four Captain’s Armbands by completing their specific chapters, so you can consider saving the Tokens. There’s a special Captains Pack as well, offering a random untradeable 108-111 OVR Captains event Player unlocked, after collecting all four Armbands!
Gallery
Next, over here in the final Gallery Tab, whereas in past events, all the event-exclusive players are displayed. But this time, there’s a twist, similar to the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, these players are not only available in Packs where you can acquire them, provided your luck is great, but you can also get them in exchange for a new currency, Captains Shards.
There are four sets of players ranging between 108-111 OVR, and all of them are untradeable, with new players arriving every week. Provided that you accumulate the amount of Shards over the event, you can get them. Spend Captains Shards to exchange for Captains Players, and Exchange extra Captains Players in turn for Captains Shards.
New Players will be available weekly in the Gallery tab of the Captains event! Head over to the Gallery to find all Player Items that were added that week. Spend Captains Shards to exchange for Captains Players.
Captains Shard Exchange
Similar to the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, there is an Exchange Store as well, but not in the Gallery Tab this time. The Captains Shard Exchanges are in the Item Exchange section on the Game Hub screen. This is the place where you can exchange your Captains event Players, should you manage to pull any.
Therefore, Captains Shards can be earned through player exchange and used to exchange for specific players. In return, you can exchange Captains event Players for Captains Shards. The exchanges are very interesting and involve trading in Captains event Players solely for Captains Shards.
So, from the above image, if you exchange a 108 OVR Captains event Player tradeable or untradeable that you don’t find suitable for your squad, you will get 60 Captains Shards back, which you can later utilize to get a player suitable for your team.
Do note that you can perform the above exchanges, you can get Captains event players either from the Market or by buying the Gem Pack offers from the Store for 2500-3000 Gems. But do remember that whichever player you are targeting from the event will be untradeable, and you can’t sell it in the market for a profit.
Greatest Captains
Finally, the Greatest Captains chapter is a UTOTS/UTOTY-esque tab showcasing eleven 111 OVR Captains event Players and Icons. This tab is a P2P exclusive tab, so if you are a free-to-play player, you shouldn’t even be near this tab and should be miles away from this mess!
Meet the eleven great captains in football history, leaders who transcended the game. With unmatched vision, courage, and influence, they inspired teams, shaped eras, and proved that true greatness is forged in both victory and adversity.
Now there are only two ways to acquire the players. You can either try your luck with the Captain’s Choice pack using your FC Points, with opening 80 of those Packs will guarantee you a 111 OVR Greatest Captain! Yes, one of the Greatest Captains will be guaranteed after purchasing 80 packs!
Oh, and if you are not happy with the Greatest Captains player you receive, you can shuffle and alter it with 150 Captains Shards. Alternatively, if you want to choose the Greatest Captains player of your choice, you can do so by claiming the Ultimate Captain Armband, which requires 4000 Captains Shards.
Exchange the Captains Shards for the Ultimate Captain Armband, then choose one of the 11 players as your reward. 4000 Captains Shards is no joke, don’t fall into its trap and start spending all of your Gems and Resources for a single 111 OVR Player, when you can get multiple players, provided you utilise your Shards better.
Challenge Mode
Well, since this is not a mini-event, there will be a Challenge Mode as well! The Challenge Mode is exactly like the previous event, ie, a rehash of previous events. The only difference is that you will be getting a chance at players from higher OVR, but you still won’t be getting any Captains-specific currencies.
There will be both Daily and Weekend-special Challenge modes that hand out Players, Gems, and Coins. Since there are no H2H or Division Rivals matches involved, it should be fairly easy to win. Don’t forget to check out the Weekend Challenge, where you can earn up to 104-111 OVR Players!
Star Pass
Of course, the Star Pass is running simultaneously with the event. There are in-game resources present in the Star Pass. Complete Quests throughout the event to earn Star Pass progress, which includes rewards such as Coins, Gems, Training Transfer Points, FC Points, and other Cosmetic items, including Emotes and Kits.
Additionally, there are event-specific currencies present in the Star Pass as well! Yes, you can obtain Captains Shards from the Star Pass this time, that too, both from the free and premium sides. Of course, buying the Premium Star Pass gives you an incentive to get a significantly higher amount of Captains Shards at your disposal.
Don’t forget to check out the newest Captains-themed Star Pass that is available at launch, including a 114 OVR pre-ranked CM Marek Hamšík. So don’t forget your daily quests to progress through the Star Pass! Earning Star Pass Credits will unlock more rewards along the Star Pass path. There are two tiers to the Star Pass: free and premium. You can also use FC Points to move faster through Star Pass levels and collect rewards faster.

Captains Tokens
- Earn by playing weekly Skill Games and Matches on the Captain-specific Chapters
- Spend them to claim the Rewards from the Reward Path in the Rewards tab
Captain-specific Armbands
- Earn by completing the weekly unlocking Captain-specific Chapters
- Collect them to claim the Captains Pack from the Great Armband Collector section in the Rewards tab
Captains Shards
- Earn them by exchanging extra Captains Player from the Gallery tab and the Recruit Your Team Reward Path in the Rewards tab
- Spend them in the Gallery or Greatest Captains tab to obtain the Captains Player of your choice
Running the Math for F2P Players
As per our calculations, the following sums up the chances for F2P Players.

Since the Challenge Mode does not give out Captains Tokens, further tokens can’t be obtained from there, and additionally, this time, you can’t trade off your extra Ragnarok Tokens from the past as well.
You can get at least a minimum of 40,430 Captains Tokens from playing the event
Also, you can earn additional Captains Tokens by exchanging Pass Points at an Exchange Rate of 3x Pass Points for 1x Captains Token, with a total of 500 times, ie, 500 Pass Points for 500 Captains Tokens Daily.
FC Mobile 25 Captains Event Tips and Tricks
Captains has a fair amount of grind, with daily skill games and matches to play in FC Mobile 25. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything, so let’s explain it here.
Now, tips for the event. Play everything. Be excited that there’s no event energy or stamina involved anymore in the new season. We’re not dealing with the constant fear of energy getting wasted and full, and neither has there been a single ad since the game was released. So yes, definitely enjoy it while you can.
Captains Players
Firstly, you won’t get any of the Captains Players from the Gallery Tab using your Captains Tokens; to get players, you will need Captains Shards.

From the above, we can understand that should you go for any of the higher-rated Captains Players, you will fall short of the required Captains Shards, given that you can’t earn them from playing the event. Now to get the Shards, you will need to perform the Shard Exchanges, ie, trading in Captains event Players for Captains Shards. The Tokens vary based on the Captains player OVR you exchange for.

Now we can see in the above table, you get 180 Captains Shards back for trading in a 110 OVR Captains event Player; however, the same 110 OVR Captains event Player, when claimed, requires a whopping 800 Captains Shards.
Although it sounds baffling why someone would do the exchange in the first place, should you get any low OVR Captains event Players from the Gem Packs, Star Pass, or the Reward chapter, know that you can’t utilize them anywhere, so exchanging them for Shards is the logical way.

From the Calculations above, you can see that should you play the event throughout, you are gonna easily end with at least 1065 Captains Shards without performing any of the Shard Exchanges. This should increase the count of Captains Shards obtained from the event.
And if you decide to further invest in the Star Pass, you do get a nice incentive of extra Captains Shards as well. Now, unfortunately, you are going for the 110-111 OVR Captains Players, you will need a lot more Captains Shards than that.
To negate the difference, you can buy Captains event Players from the market as well and utilize them in Captains Shard Exchanges. However, should you decide to spend Gems, two popular Packs offer a 106-111 OVR Captains untradeable event Player for 3000 Gems or a 104-111 OVR Captains untradeable event Player for 2500 Gems.
You can get your choice of 110-111 OVR Captains Players from the event, provided you have adequate Gems
Given a decent 110 OVR Captains Player requires 800 Captains Shards minimum, you will need around 60000 Gems, which is 20x of the 105-111 OVR Gem Packs with the worst possible luck. Similarly, for a 111 OVR Player, the amount of Gems required increases exponentially. The players look really solid and are end-game; therefore, make your decision wisely with the Gems you have in store.
Finally, if you are going for a player from the Week 1 set in the Gallery tab, make sure to complete Team Totti Recruit Your Team Reward Path and collect the Team Totti Buff, the 5% discount on the Player Shard requirements. Yes! Don’t claim the players before collecting the discount, as it decreases the Shard requirements considerably.
And as far as the Greatest Captains chapter goes, just ignore its existence. You may actually accumulate 4000 Captains Shards if you are lucky with your Gem Packs, but cashing them all in for a single 111 OVR Player, when you can get multiple players either of the same OVR or below, doesn’t really make any sense.
Rewards Chapter
Last but not least, don’t sleep on the Rewards chapter. The rewards, especially the resources you earn from the Rewards tab, add up to a decent amount of Gems, Coins, Players, Training Transfer Tokens, Universal Rank Player – Mascherano, and Captains Shards as well. Remember to utilize your Captains Tokens well!
Maximize your Mascherano from the event
There’s one thing the Captains event has brought to FC Mobile, ie, the Mascheranos, and there are plenty of them on offer. There are Mascheranos available in each of the four Captain-specific Chapters achievable via the Weekly Quests, with the Chiellini and Dunga chapters offering 2x each. There is a free Mascherano given out after completing the Captains Quests as well.
The Rewards do not end here, with the Team Totti Reward Path offering 7x Mascheranos, while the rest of the Reward Paths, ie, Team Iniesta, Team Chiellini, and Team Dunga Reward Paths, reward another 3x Mascheranos each.
Additionally, you can earn 2x more Mascheranos every week from the Exchanges and a few more from the Daily Login Rewards. And if you add them all up, you can get at least 35-40 Mascheranos from just grinding the seven-week-long event! This is incredible!
FC Mobile 25 Captains Event Players
That’s it, the Captains event in a nutshell. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this event. All the calculations are at your doorstep; do with it what you will, and plan carefully. Just play the event, every day, daily grind it out.
Captains is a decent and grind-heavy event. It’s over four weeks long, and there’s a lot more going on here than we have seen in the past in FC Mobile! Finally, we receive an event where there’s a lot to do daily, and you can proceed with the goal of getting a player, without solely depending on pack luck. Yes, you can obtain a player that you desire for your squad, even if it’s untradeable.
Additionally, Division Rivals has been lackluster for quite some time, but with the recent Rivals update changes, you can now grind PvP matches in Division Rivals to get event currencies. FC Mobile has finally started to get better, even if it’s slightly! But again, ignore the Greatest Captains, they are not worth it!
